Food has been in the same place since the early 80s, and the types of food haven’t changed much. The deli counter is disgusting. Unfortunately it’s the only grocery store in the entire neighborhood, the owner hit a jackpot with that one. No competition so why bother trying. When I can I shop at Trader Joe’s and the butcher shop on smith, and only Key Food for emergencies.. stay away if you can. They also close the lights and block off the food 30-45 minutes before the store closes. Must be nice. Tomorrow at work I’m gonna start standing by the elevator at 4pm and see what my boss says.

Dirty, rude, and arrogant workers in the back and veg sections with no gloves (Think they are washing their hands after they...), 1 critter and much brown meat.Try another place..., maybe xxxx on smith street, they are clean and the meat looks red, veggies and fruit look fresh.

If I could leave a -10 review I would. They close all the produce off an hour before they close. They are unbelievable rude. They are always restocking and have boxes and everything everywhere so you can't get to anything. I've lived around here for 2 years and it's always this terrible. Honestly they should just close because no grocery store should be able to operate like this.

The Henry St. Key Food is the only grocery store servicing Carroll Gardens, Columbia Waterfront & W. Cobble Hill and it shows. They open later/close earlier than the Brooklyn Heights Key Food on Atlantic or Trader Joe's, meat and house brand Urban Meadow dairy products and occasionally produce go bad before the sell-by date, and their mark-up is unusually hefty. In fairness, it's well-stocked for such a small store, and the check-out staff is for the most part pleasant and competent. My shopping at Henry St. Key Food is now strictly for emergency pick ups of items I've forgotten to order from online grocery delivery or Trader Joe's. There ARE other options!

If you nee something at the last minute, don't bother. They close before schedule and herd out the last customers like cattle.

It’s a grocery store that sells food. They have super inconvenient hours and they close too early, almost as if it’s not located in NEW YORK CITY. There’s daycares that stay open later.

Henry between Sackett and Degraw,They open early and close late..delivery service.Delivery staff and owners work 14 hour days, 6-7 days a week.So they want to close at the closing time and not a moment later. After 14 hours they are tired and want to get home. They do redeem deposits of no more than 20 or $1 per day.and ONLY the brands they carry. Sort glass, metal and plastic yourself and do not spill liquid on the floor. It's a high traffic area at the end of the check-out and people can slip. Many of the employees have been there for a LONG time. Some 25 plus years. It's a union shop (correct me if I'm wrong) that employs a very diverse staff including students. The same owner runs the health food store Park Natural on Court and Union. My only complaint is that since Covid people rarely help you bag..And it's hard to pay and bag at the same time without the next person in line breathing down your neck.(so please if you shop here? don't sweat the person in front of you by entering their personal space..stand back & wait your turn.)But maybe they don't bag because they think customers don't want them to touch their bags??...IDK?
