Convenient, well stocked, friendly, clean. But checkout is a problem—double scans, discounts not applied, etc. They’re trying to be fast when there are lines but you end up paying more for it.

So delighted that they had Mikeys Vegan Marinara Pockets. So delicious, this will be a regular item that I pick up there. I stretched the box into 4 servings since the Beyond Meat recipe had alot of flavor but I wanted to limit my sodium intake.

I am always impressed by this store. I was even impressed before the big "makeover" but since, even more. I am very happy this location is just minutes from my son's place so it's always a stop to pick up dinner and a snack before a night of taking care of the kids. You walk into a very large clean and bright area (vegetable section). Straight ahead is the deli section with a great selection of Boar's Head and Key food products. I have always been very impressed with their house products. The staff behind the counter is always efficient and professional. There always seems to be plenty of everything here. Meats, dry goods, beverages, etc... Living on Long Island I am used to 'mega grocery stores.' My shops have everything possible including patio furniture.Key food does a great job for the community and I truly recommend it for the locals. Comprehensive, clean, bright and a very courteous-friendly staff.KUDO's to the team at Key Food.

If you're looking for a grocery store that provides good value and quality products, Key Food may not be the best option based on the following concerns. One significant issue that we have raised concerns about is the pricing. my friends and I have seen sales prices are consistently rung up higher than advertised. This can be frustrating for those who are looking to save money and stick to a budget. It may also be misleading and create distrust towards the store.Another issue that has been raised is the bottle deposit charge. Key Food charges us for bottle deposits, but they do not have machines to take back the bottles. This can be inconvenient for customers who have to dispose of the bottles elsewhere, potentially losing out on the deposit refund.A third concern is the quality of the products. We bought some of the food items are expired, which can be dangerous to consume and lead to health problems. This may also create a lack of trust towards the store's quality control and management practices. It may be wise for customers to exercise caution when shopping at this store and thoroughly check the prices and product quality before making a purchase.

Recently renovated to have a wider, more open fresh produce section, very well organized, clean with good lighting.

Very expensive shop that will continue to raise prices as more & more “luxury buildings” are built in the 2 mile radius. If you’re non white “security” will station them self at the door to passively intimate you. Most likely a ploy against would be thieves but this is in fact detrimental to building good customer relationships.I only put up with it as I only like a block away, only here for 5 items or less. Just go to Trader Joe’s if you can. Prices are much cheaper overall and is more inviting

Rotten food. Hostile staff. Nice makeover. Same problems. Amazon Fresh is cheaper.

The groceries here are expired all. the. time. I can't tell you how many times I've found expired food here. The most annoying is when I forget to check and get all the way home and find that an item is expired. This review is prompted by an expired box of crackers. Once I found that meat I bought was expired. I always return the expired food, so they are 1000% on notice, and yet the shelves are still full of it. They're remodeling the inside which makes me roll my eyes so hard -- putting a fancy shelf full of expired food is not going to pull in customers.

Beware of "sale" items!! Prices CONSISTENTLY ring up higher at the register, or 'buy one get one free' is not actualized at the register.I suggest you read the fine print on "sale items" i.e. which flavors or net weights are excluded or included. They use confusing small print and often post the sign in front of the wrong item on the shelf making it easy to mix them up. If you calculate your budget as you shop for food like me; you will NOT enjoy shopping at this Clinton Hill location. Been shopping here for 4 years and now I'm done. Guess what? There's new grocery stores close by that have price stickers ON EACH ITEM where they don't do bait-n-switch on sale items.

Super annoying staff- they should leave people alone when waiting to pay. Stop trying to direct people to cash registers - they can do thta themselves

One of the cashiers found my wallet I dropped on the floor and messaged me on facebook to give it back to me, which is so thoughtful and kind. I picked up the wallet later in the day and it had all my cash and credit cards! I was so relieved, and the employees were so kind to me about it. This store employs and is managed by some truly good-hearted people. I will only shop here from now on :)
