The management at this store is cheating their customers since the Covid pandemic. They are price gouging their loyal customers who helped them be successful over the years. I’ve seen items listed for $13.99 that other Key Food stores sell for $9.99, and similarly lower at other supermarkets. Management is in addition very rude, as are a couple of the cashiers, although some cashiers are very nice. Do not shop here because you are being cheated while management laughs at you all the way to the bank. Terrible people.

Just spoke to someone over customer service 5pm 12/18. I wanted to order water packs for delivery. The guy said he can’t accept a delivery order over the phone before 11am but if i come in person they deliver till 6pm. This makes absolutely no sense. If the delivery service is offered till 6pm why do I need to call over the phone by 11am if I am paying ahead of delivery? This is ridiculous

Go to the Ave Z keyfood - they are much nicer to the customers. I bought 2 decaf coffee by accident- wanted the purchase the 1/2 decaf which is $2 less each. I returned the next day after the sale sale ended and they did take back the decaf but would give me the 1/2 caf on sale. In general they are price gougers. Ave Z keyfood has much better pricing,

At the appetizing counter extremely nasty. I was given incorrect amount of what I asked for. Instead of correcting it one worker started a fight with me and said he didn’t like my “ tone” He was the one that was rude and nasty. Whatever he is getting paid it is too much. Ruined my entire experience with this store and I have been dealing with them for years. Luckily another store available so I don’t need to shop here.

I did not like this Key Food. They must have a BIG PROBLEM WITH THEFT.At the Deli counter the woman behind the counter needed to know exactly how many items I was going to order so she could mark it down with a magic marker after I ordered what I wanted I need an additional item that I spotted and she told me that she needed everything back because she needs to remarket obviously people are stealing things from the deli there could be no other reason secondly on the checkout section I used an EBT card for those people that don't know EBT is basically food stamps every store on the planet that I've ever been to when you pay by EBT they always give you the bags for free always without exception including places that are not supermarkets as long as you are purchasing food items for instance in my neighborhood there's a Duane Reade that I purchased dessert items they charge everybody a nickel per bag however when I use my EBT card they always give me a shopping bag for free when I told this to the cashier at Key Food he looked at me like I was crazy and insisted on charging me for the bags I have bags in my car but I could have brought in but I didn't bother because I know I always get them for free obviously this kid did not know how it works and I wasn't going to ask to speak to the manager over a nickel a bag last but not least I was charged $9 for something that came from the deli section normally I shop at The Food Emporium in Howard Beach every item I get as long as it's food-related they take my EBT card however again this man or boy at the register told me this particular item was going to be $9 I told him to keep it I didn't want it however I was with my sister and she said I'll pay for it if I was by myself I would have not gotten it at all there's another issue I wanted to take the shopping cart out to my car so I didn't have to carry the bags as I have a bad back something that I've been doing for years at this supermarket they call somebody over and they have to escort you to your car to make sure that you don't run off with their cart obviously like I said from the beginning this particular Key Food must have a big problem with theft if they go through all this nonsense never in my life have I experienced anything like this if I had my car I would have drove to Queens to The Food Emporium in Howard Beach by my home unfortunately I could not do that when I visited Key Food Wednesday August 31st I hope I never have to go back there again as I don't like the way the customers are treated like thieves I am a 60-year-old man the other day I was in the store by my house somebody left their receipt and their change on the counter I could have very easily taken it I gave it to the cashier not everyone is a thief something that this location needs to learn not happy.Just remembered. I needed to use the restroom however again because of their theft problem I was told that their restroom is out of order there's no way in a million years that the workers in this location are going to work a full shift without using the restroom the restroom is definitely working as the employees must use it during the course of a 9 hour day or even more when they work overtime again they don't want anybody going into the restroom and putting something in their pants another issue with that theft I don't know how many items I listed but that's a lot of complaining for one little shopping experience let me think there was a deli the checkout experience charging me for bags charging me for food that should have gone on the EBT following me to the car with the cart and telling me that the bathroom was out of order that's a total of six items believe me I was not there that long six items to complain about is ridiculous for one shopping experience I don't like to spend my money and be disappointed that's what this key food was a big disappointment.Same story. This location must have a BIG problem with theft.Manager walks around watching everybody

Well stocked. Well run, with a pleasant and accommodating management. HOWEVER......SHAME, SHAME ON YOU!Note: 7/19/23. Price of store brand one liter seltzer was just raised from $.67 to $1.19 per bottle, an increase of 77%!Checked with Key's customer service and was informed that the price is set by the individual store owner. There is absolutely no factor(s) that can justify such an increase. This is classic price gouging, plain and simple.

I sometimes shop here for my relatives when im in the area. The store has gone down hill. Here's what i noticed...1 very often their products are not labeled with price, so you can't make a decision to buy while in the isle.2. Their 2 price scanners rarely if ever work, and one is missing now.3. Prices at the register are constantly different then signed. I fight with them all the time, and im always right.4. They'll remove the labels for sale items before the day is over, so if you go there in the evening, you can't see what's on sale.5. Most importantly, price gouging! For example their salmon was priced 9.99lb for years. Suddenly it shot up 20% overnight! Not 5%, not 10%, BUT 20%!And they don't even put a sign up of this huge price increase (The font on the label is too small for my old eyes) , so you get an unpleasant surprise at the register (if you're lucky enough to catch it on the screen) or when you get home!Yes, netcost across the street is even worse, but no reason for this neighborhood staple to be gouging its customers in these difficult times.

This Key Food store is very clean, cashiers are young but know what's they doing and all items are arranged nicely. Pricewise it is regular, not pricey, not cheap. I put out some picture so you can see what they got in some departments, maybe that will help someone. I used to buy non alcohol beer there, the price was cheap and noone else had it, now it's easy to find.

Typical small grocery in South Brooklyn, narrow aisles, a little pricey. Keep an eye on sales, they are pretty good. Get a Key Foods discount card. Good selection of meats. There are many corner produce markets in Brighton/Coney that have better prices and selection. One annoyance is that when you check out, you leave your basket/cart behind you which clogs the checkout aisle.

Nice to have a key food nearby especially with the pricier Netcost across the street. For your most basic needs, you can get away with buying groceries here. But it's pretty small with limited options.
