I worked with Yvonne on my wedding dress for about a year, and am so happy I decided to go this route. After trying on dozens and dozens of dresses that were either astronomical in price or extremely common among other Brooklyn brides, Yvonne was able to help me create something totally singular at a reasonable price. She did a great job of collaborating on the design and the dress itself was so, so beautiful. She is such a pleasure to work with and would absolutely recommend.

I found Kimera in my wedding dress search, and was thrilled with 2 custom dresses Yvonne the owner/founder, made for me.
I didn't want the typical white and she has an extensive set of beautiful fabrics and trimmings to choose from.
She also really helped me figure out what would look great on me, I wasn't sure about dress shape, hem length, etc.
But my dresses turned out so great! I got many compliments and felt Fabulous!
And they are made to last (one is over 10 yrs old and looks like new).

My mom and I went to Kimera for her mother of the bride dress -- it could not have been a nicer experience! Yvonne is so welcoming and knowledgeable, and offered us great advice on color and fit. She was communicative during the process, a delight to work with in the fittings, and the finished product was absolutely beautiful.

Yvonne made my Mother-of-the-Bride gown, Edwardian coat, and a matching evening purse for my daughter's Winter wedding. I am petite and had difficulty finding a gown off-the-rack. I also needed a solution for outdoor wedding photos in Colorado. As soon as I tried on the sample coat at the Atelier I knew it was right. It felt elegant and special. The ensemble she made for me is truly one-of-a-kind. It fits like a glove. I chose the fabric for the coat with her help and she supplied the shantung in a beautiful, sophisticated color for the gown. (I even took her advice on hairstyle to offset the ensemble). Yvonne customized the details according to what I needed. I received so many compliments (and I still am, weeks later)!

Love Kimera! The boutique has a well curated selection of elegant special occasion wear. Most items must be custom ordered but if you can purchase off the rack. My daughter needed a prom dress but with three weeks until prom, we weren't able to custom order. We found both a prom gown and a graduation dress and purchased off the rack. Yvonne, the proprietor, made the alterations and delivered the perfectly fitted dresses in under two weeks. She also made Covid masks that perfectly match the dresses. We are over the moon happy with our purchases and with the gold standard service we received. What a treasure this shop is. UPDATE: Today, the day of my daughters prom, we realized that the hook that aligns with the bustle was missing. Frantically I left a message for Yvonne and she got back to me immediately. With her calm demeanor, she told me to come right in with the dress and she would make the alteration on the spot. It took under 15 minutes and the dress is now perfect. How many stores give this level of service? And all with a smile. Can't wait to lose weight so I can shop Kimera for myself!

Terrific personalized service in a lovely serene atmosphere. I was a drop in on a Saturday. They nicely asked if I could come back in an hour and when I returned I got the full attention of Yvonne the designer and a knowledgeable sales person. I had settled on a design and dress fabric and then waffled on my decision. They never pushed me to decide instead continued to show me options and new ideas. Their made to measure dresses are very reasonable and they offer custom accessories to complement your dress. Highly recommend a visit if you are looking for elegant simple designs in beautiful fabrics.

I can't recommend Kimera highly enough! I recently purchased my wedding dress there, then had lots of wedding delays and postponements due to to Covid. Yvonne was SO helpful and accommodating - setting up a private fitting, mailing my dress to me promptly, and even sending me links to possible shoe choices! The shop has a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere and Yvonne has exquisite taste. The prices are also quite reasonable, considering the lush fabrics and unique designs. I also really appreciated how welcome people with all body types are there. I could not have had a more positive experience + I received TONS of compliments on my beautiful wedding dress!

I cannot say enough wonderful about Kimera. The extraordinary quality and beauty of the fabrics, the warm yet professional personalized service is hard to find anywhere else. Your dress will easily last a decade. The value given all of the aforementioned is not to be beat. 10 stars for Kimera!
