We couldn’t more highly recommend Metropolis. We worked with Eddie, Christian, and John and they were exceptional. Professional, meticulous, on time, incredibly efficient and highly skilled. They made our move seamless — packed us on a Friday and stayed the extra time to make sure everything was packed right and then came on Saturday for the move. If you’re moving in NYC, this is the service to use.

Metropolis Moving were fantastic! The team was friendly, careful with my belongings, and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. I moved from the West Village to Greenwich Village, and they made the whole process completely stress-free. I’d absolutely hire them again!

Metropolis Moving is great! I used them for a move in Tarrytown NY. Their website enables you to plug in your details for an immediate quote, and the team is very flexible and responsive throughout the process. Eddie and Tyler were wonderful. Great at what they do, friendly and patiently put together a complicated dining table. We were in great hands.

Metropolis moving was AMAZING!! From the start they were extremely communicative and helpful, including when we had to reschedule several times because our closing date kept moving. Allen, Eddie and Jonathan were rockstarsl!! They showed up at 8:30am and we're fully loaded by 10:30. Then they had everything in our new place (which was over an hour drive away) by 3pm! I could not recommend them more highly!! Will definitely be recommending them to friends.

From beginning to end, this company did me right. They were always there to answer my calls and address my concerns, which was very unique for a moving company. But that’s the whole point. They’re more than just a moving company. They’re good people who strive to do great work. And boy did they! They handled our furniture and delicate/priceless possessions with the utmost care. Not one thing was broken or even scratched, including and especially the piano. The price was incredible and beat every other company without compromising the service. But even if they were more expensive, I would have paid it because they’re that good. Mostly, though, I was so impressed with their personnel, who were friendly and insanely quick and we’d like to be friends with all of them: Eddie, Zach, Erik, John, and Steve. Oh, Steve. He’s the humble leader and treats the job like his life depends on it. The. There’s the guys in the office like Barry, Jake and Corey. All awesome. What an absolute pleasure and extreme stress reliever to have had these guys on the job. Though I hope to never move again, I’d hire Metropolis again in a minute if I did. And don’t just think of them as a city move. We moved states and they handled it like champs. Thanks to everyone involved!!

Metropolis Moving made our move such a great experience. Moving from the Upper East Side to Ridgewood Queens isn’t easy, but Jack, Marshall, and Adam were not only efficient and careful with everything — they were also kind, upbeat, and just genuinely good people to spend a moving day with.
They checked in with us often, made sure everything ended up exactly where we wanted it, and kept the whole process stress-free. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, we actually felt taken care of.
If you’re moving, I can’t recommend Metropolis Moving enough. Ask for Jack, Marshall, and Adam — you’ll be in the best hands.

Right from the jump Barry and team were super helpful and made our cross state move from Ohio to Brooklyn seamless and easy. We did an initial walkthrough of all of our stuff via video call to get inventory and were able to easily update it as we began packing. The day before we were set to move, the team showed up to drop off a few hanging close boxes for us to use and get a lay of the land—the next morning they were right on time and got moving quickly. Everything was moved, wrapped, and handled with care. Nothing was broken or out of place in the move whatsoever.
All in all we were very pleased with their service and the pricing. Solid dudes, and we would definitely recommend them.

Wow! Everything about my experience with Metropolis Moving was amazing! I called on a Friday afternoon looking for a last minute move the next day and they delivered with exceptional customer service. My building required a form to be signed by my moving company and proof of COI which the company got to me within 24 hours (on a weekend)! They were extremely responsive and accommodating to my requests. I only needed movers and no truck which they had no problem with and they were extremely responsible in pricing. The movers who helped me, Eddie and John, were also extremely punctual, professional, and kind. They took care of my belongings and had the job done in no time (especially considering I was moving into a walk up)! I will definitely be using Metropolis Moving in any future moves and recommend them to anyone looking for reliable movers in the city!

Metropolis helped my wife and I move from Bushwick in Brooklyn, NY to the Hudson Valley in Upstate NY. The entire process was extremely smooth and streamlined— from their initial intake form, to the video consultation, to the planning for our unique circumstance. We needed to move out of our apartment and a storage unit at a separate location so we agreed to two trucks being sent to each location at about 8am which ended up working out incredibly well. The team moved really quickly but also carefully and we had 0 issues the entire time. It also helped that all 7 team members (Ricky, Cristian, Eddie, Jack, Marshall, Adam, and Steve) were so friendly and pleasant to be around for the day. Would definitely recommend and use them again!
