The only reason to use MCU as a bank is if you want to have 0 access to your money, offered 0 security, and no help what so ever over the phone or in person. Please put your money here if you basically hate yourself. Would 0 star this trash bank of I could.

Service is very slow, there’s a line out the door and typically one, maybe two bankers to assist with account services. They stated they couldn’t complete the task, even with me having the required documents because the bank was “approaching closing time”, even though there was an extensive wait prior to me being seen. I had to come back another day, and even with an appointment, there’s still an extensive wait prior to being seen.

I would not recommend that anyone join MCU. Interest rates are no longer lower than most commercial banks and customer service is abysmal. Sorry, but MCU is not what it used to be. I have been a member for 16 years and they are treating my like garbage. I had never faced this before. MCU used to regard its members, but they no longer care. I have been trying to get in touch with the lease buyout department for the past three weeks, but they refuse to call me back and said they already spoke with me. I have sent complaint letters because the same department lied to me and harassed me. MCU never wrote back and I just keep getting the run around. I guess there is no accountability and staff can do whatever they want. It is really sad that you can no longer count on MCU.

Where can I start, I walked in this branch and I was losing my mind. The line was long and people were a bit rude however a lady the branch named Kimberly assisted me with care. She helped me with my anxiety and assured me everything would be okay. Thank you Kimberly and jayst.

I walked into the Downtown Brooklyn 350 Jay Street Branch of MCU. I was so upset about a past Secured Loan. I was even calling the BBB and also very frustrated with MCU. However, I worked directly with Member Service Representative, Ms. Kamesha Blake, who immediately resolved so many issues for me as she unpacked problems on a deeper level. Firstly, my phone contact information in my MCU Profile was completely incorrect. So when MCU called or texted me in the past to resolve this issue, of course communication was non - existent. I thought I was being ignored. Ms. Kamesha Blake updated and verified all my information and meticulously and very professionally explained how a Secured Loan works. Ms. Blake was so patient and she printed out my statements and also highlighted transactions to my complete satisfaction. I am so happy that Ms. Kamesha Blake restored my faith in MCU and I am indeed a “Happy - and - Satisfied Customer!”

since the late 80s to 2023 a loyal customer through thick and thin, waiting onlong lines walking around, trying to look forATM that's working, bank or nearby fraud on my account more than once still I stay this last episode which wasn't a lot of money but it was my money over $300. I went down and make a complaint. They change the rules noticed since after corona and you no longer fill out the form they do it themselves, and then they investigate. I don't know what the f they was looking at, but it was a case that I was scammed out of my money after so call investigation claim didn't see any fraudulent my God I don't remember moving to San Francisco. taken an Uber rides up and down the goddamn street. I live in Brooklyn. so I decided to part ways from them. I had enough of the unprofessional setting and bull. Sign the working poor

Ms Tessa Richards is very pleasant and informative. I had money in my account sitting for years and she suggested for me to open CD’s and ever since she becomes my banking advisor. Thank you MCU for making her available to help out persons like me with limited investments knowledge. Ms. Richards has been outstanding in her work performances.

This bank is a fraud masquerading as credit union. They're no different from traditional banks, if not worse. I was approved for car loan with low interest rate due to my high credit score. I made sure to pay extra towards my principal every month and in less than 3 months, I had paid over 30percent of the loan. Surprisingly, they would charge me extra interest per month on every extra payments i made, despite informing them many times that extra payments only goes towards my principal. They eventually stopped doing that, in the past 2months, my interest rate has increased twice for no obvious reason. I'm tired of calling them so I'll try to pay off the loan sooner and let my accounts with them go dormant.Checks on their bank reveals a long history of criminal convictions and guilty pleas from their past and present executives who have been found embezzling bank funds. I do not recommend this fraud of a bank.

i worked with mr. kirk smith at this mcu branch. his professionalism, friendly and knowledgeable attitude is exemplary. mcu jay street and mr. smith are wonderful assets to our Brooklyn community.
