Yesterday we arrived at the base on the 18th. The car was already full - pre-New Year shopping. We bought for $218. We asked for delivery (+$10 more on top). The time of purchase was 15:47. They didn't have a single box except ours on the floor. We thought: "Oh... Gorgeous... They'll bring it now...". We arrived home. We took care of business. 2 hours passed... Nothing... (We have raw meat, fish and dairy products on order). We are waiting... I thought: "Well, okay... New Year...More people ordered delivery. But we, as it were, were the FIRST, no? Well, they will deliver it soon...". Another hour passed. And another hour... That's it! Time - 20:00! I'm furious. I call the number on the check - no one answers. I think - out of spite, I'll get dressed now and go back to the base, I'll smash everything there to hell... A second later the call is 866...number. I pick up the phone: "Hello. I'm Alexey from the NetCost call center. We are very sorry. Very, very much. Honestly, honestly. The driver is loading your order right now and driving. In 30-40 minutes it will be with you." - Well, Alexey... Firstly, in 30-40 minutes it will already be nine in the evening. That is, 5 hours (!!!) after the purchase. Secondly, what should I do if raw meat, fish and milk cost 5 hours out of the refrigerator have spoiled? Should I shop again? Thirdly, it is assumed that the delivery person is not at fault and I need to tip him, even though he arrives 3 hours later than promised, and I am completely unhappy with YOUR service? Why then did you slap me with "$10 delivery"? For what kind of delivery, THIS? - Eeeeeeeee...If there are any problems with the products, please contact us. We will solve everything. And the tip is at your discretion. (That's it! Without the other two points!) - Alexey! Don't you want to at least return me $10 for the "delivery" (which hasn't even happened yet)? - Eeeeeeeeeee...I am not authorized to make such decisions (Alexey apparently was put on the phone exclusively to apologize and say how sorry he is), but I will talk to the boss. - Speak, Alexey. Speak... 5 minutes later the call... - Hello again. Yes, we will refund you $10. (I think - ok, at least that way...). But for this you must go back to the base on the 18th. (And I don't live nearby at all. It is necessary, straight, go by car.). - Alexey...Why don't you return the money to me via Zelle, Venmo, PayPal...or at least by carrier pigeons? Do you understand that my time spent on "back and forth" costs more than $10 (I think he understands ,maybe that's why)? Even gasoline will cost more than $10! - Unfortunately, this is the only option. I'm very sorry. I understand you perfectly, but I'm very (you?) sorry. I think - nooo... complete nonsense! Purely out of principle, I won't leave behind! - Alexey, let's do it differently. The delivery man will arrive. And instead of a tip, I'll call you and you'll confirm that he can pick up my $10 from the base manager. Wouldn't that be easier and more fun? - Eeeeeeeeeee...I'm not authorized to make such decisions, but I'll talk to the boss. - Speak, Alexey. Speak... Another 5 minutes later the call. - Hello again, this is Alexey. - Hello, Alexey. - Eeeeeee... I'm very sorry, and we apologize wildly, but this option is impossible. You need to PERSONALLY come to the base to get the money. - I understand you, Alexey. Tell me, is the NetCost Market reputation worth $10 or not? - Eeeeeeeee...Excuse me? - Well, look... You are doing everything NOT to resolve this problem. And the problem is clearly ON YOUR SIDE. You have not left any options CONVENIENT FOR ME to receive satisfaction or partial compensation for the loss. The money is lost for me. Meat, most likely too. And morally I "suffered"... The only thing is that I can go to Yelp or Google and leave you a negative (but honest) review in order to somehow calm down this fire of rage inside myse

Worst grocery store in the neighborhood. The third time I got overcharged and when I went back to ask for my money back store manager was rude and nasty. Every person should check their receipt before they leave the store Instead of apologizing he had a nasty attitude. I understand mistakes happen but not three times purposely they overcharged people. I don't even know how people can be a manager if they don't know how to treat their customers. and when I told the manager this had happened the third time and if for that reason I was going to stop coming to the store his answer was if you want to shop your shop If you don’t wanna shop it’s OK. I'm going to tell all my family members and friends not to shop for them because they are overcharging people. the manager shouldn't be working in a manager position. never going back

High prices, limited merchandise, mediocre ( at best) service that speak no English. If you speak Russian or Polish perhaps you'll have a better experience but the prices are still too high. Frustrated.

Very delicious cheese cake but the ingredients doesn't include the gooseberry jelly on top of it. Some people are allergic to certain fruits. Now they might fool you thinking it cherries but it's not.

Awful place. I entered the store while eating a mango chamoy popsicle that I bought from a deli and got accused for stealing, even though the popsicle wasn't even sold in the store. They had no reason to suspect me or ask me for a receipt for my purchase when they could've gone through their security cameras to see I came into the store with the popsicle opened already.Didn't get any apology either. After reading the other reviews, clearly this isn't the first time they've done this nor will it be the last. Never ever stepping foot in here again.EDIT: Don't bother reaching out to management. They don't care about apologizing or fixing what they did.All they did was justify what they did. "According to NetCost Market Policy, the security guards within the store may ask any person exiting our store with merchandise to inspect their receipt and bags". That is fair, except I was not exiting the store and the security guard approached me.Waste of time. Spend your money and time elsewhere.

I brought back a spoiled product and this manager or a shift-lead was trying to argue with me that it wasn’t spoiled while admitting thats she does not use that product. She thinks she gets paid to be a contrarian.

Looks like another location with illegal tactics.False imprisonment is both a civil violation and a crime. Store personnel should know that, in most circumstances, they can't detain you for failing to show a receipt unless you're at a membership store. But not all staff are adequately trained. If you get stopped and demanded for receipt, you have the right to refuse. Unless their have you on video stealing something, they can’t falsely impression you, call police and press charges.

One of the few last remaining supermarkets in the area for European Foods. As well as lots of American foods that you can find. We used to also have Waldbaum's but it was taken over, and rebuilt by J-mart and seems ?? to serve mostly a totally different demographic(sure you might find their once in a while some things but Netcost feels closest to my ancestors home); the park nearby has become a Casino too seems even more. I also had pleasant experience with most security there at Netcost. I did have once or twice a security guard follow me as if I was doing something wrong as well as at the cash register. Otherwise 99% of the time I have had a pleasant experience here. At Netcost being of a European White (with ancestral semitic heritage) descent; I don't have the feeling of being discriminated at Netcost I/my family enjoy(s) and has food that I/we can relate to.Netcost, has some friendly cashier's and sometimes joking funny while being professional. Netcost also has customer restrooms like Waldbaum's used to have. If you have older people shopping very convenient. Nobody will escort you out of the store for that. Netcost has rules, like any store but I feel they are more balanced and reasonable(unless you do something stupid you'll not be thrown out).I plan to go back and update the review if anything changes.
