About Newtown Barge Playground
Newtown Barge Playground is a peaceful and scenic park with great views of Manhattan, the NYC skyline, and the waterway. Visitors can enjoy the calm environment with plenty of benches to sit and take in the beautiful scenery, especially at night. The park is also suitable for sports practice and family gatherings. Restrooms are available nearby, though not always the cleanest, and parking can be difficult due to construction. Note that dogs are not allowed in the park; it is strictly for human recreation, with a dog run available at Mcgorlick park. Overall, it’s a lovely spot to relax, walk, or enjoy the views.

Nice playground with a great view of Manhattan and the East River.

Trying to come here 3 times a week. Good to move and the view is beautiful.
