My stay here could have been better if it weren't for the cleaning lady. Imagine having a peaceful and relaxing evening, you go into the bathroom and do business before you leave but you are met with banging on the door and someone looking as if they were to break in! What's worst and traumatizing is having no clothes on and all this happening! This is the kind of treatment I was met with and a way to end my stay there. AN INVASION OF MY PRIVACY!
If anyone from this hotel is reading this, I demand a response. Thank you!

The room was clean and the location worked for me. Those are the only two good things I can say about this hotel. The lobby and front desk had the feel of a nice-ish convenience store. The front desk staff were cold. The first room I got was on the 2nd floor. When the elevator doors opened it smelled like NYC on trash collection day. I immediately went down and asked for a new room on a different floor. Luckily I got one but the woman at the desk acted put out. The room I got on floor 3 had drab grey walls and a bed that looks like a pull out couch. I felt like I was in a dreary dorm or very nice prison. Very dim and depressing. I booked two nights but the first night I could only sleep 2 hours because the bed not only looked like a pull out couch but felt like one as well. I couldn’t get my money back for the second night but I left and got another hotel anyway. Then when I got home I saw a charge for $60+. Upon calling I was told that that was an “amenities fee” and that I must not have heard the person tell me about it but that someone definitely must have because they always do. I assured the person on the phone that I would have heard that. For such a bootleg hotel to have the nerve to have a “resort fee” for breakfast that I never saw, a gym I never used, and wifi is laughable. Just no.
Rooms: Drab. Basic. But clean.

Hidden Gem, I am typically here for work and they treat me very well. Parking garage right next door. Rooms come with a fridge and it’s a microwave downstairs to heat your food up. They remember my face when I come and that type of customer service will make me keep coming.

Great boutique hotel in downtown Brooklyn. Super staff, funky rooms and a European Continental breakfast makes it a great choice

My favorite place to stay in NY and Brooklyn. Jewel at the desk is amazing as is the rest of the staff.
Rooms: Comfortable and nice sized. We'll appointed.
Walkability: Perfect location close to almost everything.

I’ve stayed at this hotel before and my children absolutely loved it. We decided to enjoy a staycation here for the weekend and so far are really disheartened by the service (lack thereof really). We weren’t greeted with a smile or any real welcome whatsoever. We have a lovely “view” of the construction site from our window. The kids requested to order the hotel food instead of eating out at any of the amazing neighborhood restaurants because they remembered how delicious it was. We obliged them. The food took over an hour to be ready because the oven “wasn’t warm” even though it’s advertised that food is available between 2-10pm. We ordered at 4pm. Additionally, we called about an hour and half after to check on our food and were told they were really busy with other reservations and would have to wait about another 20 minutes. We received a call shortly after to be informed that there were no buns for the burger. I inquired as to how that it took over an hour to realize that- no real explanation or apology was given. When I asked to speak to a manager I was ignored.
The takeaways. Quaint hotel in convenient area. Definitely not cheap, which is fine but the service and attitude was disgusting. Don’t hire people who can’t multitask and handle the volume of its clients. End of story. We will not be returning any time soon.

We've been at this hotel for one night, made a reservation for two persons with two queen size beds. At arrival we've received a room with one queen size bed. After addressing this at the service, they were telling us that we booked a double room with one queen size bed. They were trying to tell us that this is what we get, when we are booking a two bed room. After looking into other options, they were overbooked. Contacting the hotels customer service wasn't any help; never received any compensation. I will never again stay at this hotel. Would have had a better stay with any low budget hotel.

Room was small but cute and clean. The walls are also very thin and you will hear everything! The bed however was nearly on the floor. Ask hotel if construction is going on in front of building bc you will hear them early in the morning. Continental breakfast is available free of charge. Overall the price of the hotel is a bit steep for it's quality.
Food and drinks: Nearby

Clean, friendly and helpful staff, full breakfast, great downtown location: 30 min Uber from LGA, 15 min walk to BAM, Atlantic terminal, the Bk Bridge, Barclays Center, etc. No early checkin, but they will store your bags in a locked room until checkin. 12pm checkout, which is delightfully unusual! Beds are very comfortable. You need a key to operate elevators 24/7 and front doors after 10:30, adding extra security.
Future guests should note that a jail building of some sort is being erected across the street. It is far from complete. Maybe in a year or so.

This morning I went down for thier breakfast & was pleasantly surprised; the manager, Stanley was very accomidating & welcoming, & fixed all the issues I had upon my arrival last night. I changed my review from a "2" to a "4." Thankyou Stanley, for your great customer service. Now I'm quite happy with this hotel. My aunts stayed here, too, & liked it very much. Also the products (soap & shower stuff) are exceptionally nice.
Rooms: The rooms are simple but nice. Great products! The only thing wanting was the tv (few channels & no guide). Breakfast in the morning is included & is tasty.
Nearby activities: Great shopping & restaurants right outside the hotel.
Safety: It's quite secure.
Walkability: It's near everything (restaurants & stores) & public transportation brings you into Manhattan

Service was great. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom has separate enclosures for shower and toilet, with a huge mirror and counter top by the sink. Nu Hotel also offers free continental breakfast everyday and Thier drinks counter is open 24/7, where you can just make your own coffee, tea or hot chocolate. They have a well-equipped gym, but you can also exercise by walking anywhere. For farther destinations, you can just walk to the subway 5mins away.
We had a great stay at NU Hotel?❤️
Walkability: You can just walk to nearby cafes and restaurants.

Decent hotel, not the most comfortable beds, but the service was good.
The tea bar in the lobby was very convenient, I would recommend sitting outside at the seating area before you go to sleep and wind down with a tea while watching the world go by for a few moments.
I was able to leave my suitcase there after I checked out until it was time to leave for my flight which I appreciated.
Rooms: Expected more for the price, had a slight off smell. But nothing too harsh.
They offer a mini bar for a fee.
There was no housekeeping.
