Don’t go here! Their prices are insane, they charge 50 cents to TOAST a bagel. I purchased a plain bagel toasted with NOTHING on it and I paid 3 dollars. Was told by a manager that if I asked to microwave the bagel it wouldn’t cost extra but because they are using a toaster it’s 50 cents more and was told that the reason why they are charging is because of electricity, WHICH MAKES NO SENSE.. A microwave uses more electricity. Honestly this is just principle, u are charging ppl extra money now for every single thing. The food here is not even that fresh. Go to Tio Pio down the block. Their food is just as good and they don’t charge 50 cents to toast a bagel.

9 dollars for a bagel and bottle of water, bagels are soft, but not nearly the best. Not worth the money at all. Extremely overpriced and underwhelming. Won't be going back

I’m from Europe and every time I’m here I make sure to go get at least 2 bagels from this place. So good ?

My go to spot for breakfast and bagels when I visit Brooklyn. The pancakes are also the best I've had anywhere. Great selection of food!

Chocolate muffin, eggs, toast, and bagels were good. Bacon was just okay. But warning: the fries aren't that great. I don't mean any offense, but they were not good at all. I tried them twice.

It makes me sad to write this review as I've been a customer for the last 2.5 years or so, but the quality of product and service at Pio has been progressively on the decline. From incorrect price charging (prices of basics like bagels seem to vary depending on who's working the register), to cross-contaminated cream cheese (think: mixture of a sweet raisin cream cheese with scallion onion, due to using dirty scoops = disgusting tasting .. see photo) it's been tough to continue to order from Pio and trust that they'll get my food made correctly. It's unfortunate that the quality of food / service has gone down, since the staff is friendly and I believe they want to provide good food, but there's not enough attention to detail when so many mistakes constantly happen, so I hope they can fix whatever has been happening lately. The only thing I can recommend is purchasing plain bagels, bagged, to go. I would not trust any of the staff to be able to assemble a sandwich or toast w/ cream cheese without making a mistake as it's happened dozens of times to us—usually by the time we are home to eat it's too much trouble to go back to complain and try to get a $3 refund, so for now we'll just have to look for a new morning bagel spot.

I had the toasted everything bagel with jalapeño and scallion cream cheeses and smoked salmon. It’s a local establishment with a good vibe. The service is very fast. But to be completely fair with other bagel joints in NYC, it’s pricier than what it’s worth. I think my bagel was $13-14, similar to Blackseed, which have better bagels and give a lot more filling, like cream cheese, than Pio.All that said, I would go back, and wish for Pio to receive a lot of love from the local Downtown Brooklyn community.

Everytime I go to this location, they ask me if I want my bagel toasted and I say no, cause I don't like how the cream cheese melts and I know they make the bagels fresh anyway and Everytime, they still toast it and worst part is they don't spread the cream cheese on the entire surface of the bagel and Everytime, it's such a small amount of cream cheese, I had to stop going cause I already gave them a few chances. Also, the kids that works there seems to be having too much fun and maybe that's why they mess up my order all the time. The only good part of this place is their drinks from the fridge.

Do not go here!!! They have no regard for actually providing a gluten free bagel. I ate the "gluten free" bagel at 12pm and was vomiting for 3 hours at 2pm. This is a known issue after reading online so stay away.

Their food quality is inconsistent. Their customer service is horrid, if you tell them it isn’t right it’s pretty much you want to take it or get your money back instead of fixing the issue. Then all of them stare you down as you wait . Suck a weird experience. 10/10 would not recommend.

Very disappointed in what was labeled as a “gluten free” bagel. If you have a gluten intolerance or celiac do NOT eat these gluten free bagels! I read many negative reviews saying these bagels made gluten free-ers sick, but I disregarded and tried anyway. I do not get sick easily, and can handle cross contamination. It’s been years since I’ve gotten this sick! These are NOT GLUTEN FREE. There are so many other places in the city that provide safe, gluten free options. Not worth the risk!!! Pio Bagel needs to take away the gluten free label from these bagels as it’s very dangerous to falsely advertise and cause serious health problems for their customers.

They have the softest bagel I had so far but very very VERY pricy, especially compared to other places with better bigger bagels and a bigger name too! This place also shows up for “kosher” bagels but they definitely are not kosher, as confirmed by the staff. They fry eggs with bacon and pork and don’t separate.I guess if you’re nearby Jay street, you could give this a try. I tried a classic lox bagel with olive cream cheese. The bagel was soft and not too chewy and overall very satisfying. But $18 for this bagel is too much, especially when other places offer the same bagel and in a bigger size with more stuffing for less. They also forgot the capers off my bagels. And the cashier takes too long to get to through the line.
