New arts center near the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn. The old powerhouse was brilliantly adopted by famous architects Herzog and De Meuron, reminding me of the architects' Tate Gallery in London or for that matter the Neues Museum in Berlin (though by a different architect).

One of the most welcoming locations for artists and performers. A wonderful blank canvas in a beautiful setting. A magnificent performance and Arts location, well suited for the neighborhood and the City..

Toured it during OHNY weekend. Amazing space. Ceramics studio and print studio are already in operation but the rest opens May 2024.

PHA poses as a ngo, when it’s very for profit. For a tour or over 5 people, with continued weeks to see the ceramics studio, they are wanting to fill their expensive two seats left. They have only two functioning single bathrooms for a full house of over 50 artists just on one department. The building used to be a “safe space” for qtpoc youth, and now is far of a financially viable nor haven for qtpoc artists. They’ll charge you for every aspect, your chair, shelf, usage, and we didn’t even get to studio access rentals. PHA is making room for the rapid gentrification in the surrounding area. I would recommend to support small businesses even in the neighborhood for affordable ceramics and related classes. Then to spend 1000 a month.
