extremely high prices + extremely reluctant to take cash- combo that could make many in the neighborhood feel unwelcome (perhaps this is the intention?)good product selection and helpful staff

Good store for a few staples like beans pasta and rice. There’s a lot of foods they don’t carry such as peanuts or peanut butter. Some essentials like oils, and vinegars require you to purchase a bottle from the store first instead of BYO. Not as big of a selection generally as Maison Jar in green point. Also carry far more packaged/wasteful products than seem necessary such as tinned fish.

Stumbling upon this photo in my camera roll was a gentle reminder that I forgot to review this sustainable spot! Walking in, precycle is just so cute and beautiful. I love all the natural light that comes into the shop as it makes the experience here just that much more pleasurable. They've really got everything you could want in a sustainable shop: produce, dry goods, beverages, spices, as well home goods. They do have jars available for purchase, but even better to bring your own! Most items are by weight and not too expensive. My item of choice was not food related, but an ergonomic pot scrubber with a replaceable brush. I love the feel of this brush in my hand and its just so pretty. It also gets the job done- really want to come back here for some goodies soon! Oh also, theyve got kombucha on tap and baked goods at the front for those that are into it!

I loved visiting this store for the environmental aspect. Packaged products are an epidemic throughout our country and Precycle helps to solve this issue. The truth is that so many people are used to packaged products that stores like Precycle will likely be rare. I hope that this changes as more people are open-minded and environmentally-conscious enough to support businesses like this.

Precycle is a zero-waste grocery store in Brooklyn, New York. They sell a variety of food and household products, all of which are packaged in a way that minimizes waste. Precycle also has a bulk section where you can bring your own containers to fill up with loose foods.I recently visited Precycle and was impressed with the selection of products. They had everything from fresh produce to canned goods to cleaning supplies. I was also impressed with the way the store was organized. The bulk section was particularly well-organized, and it was easy to find the products I was looking for.The prices at Precycle are comparable to other grocery stores. However, I think the convenience of being able to bring my own containers and the peace of mind knowing that I am not contributing to waste make Precycle a worthwhile investment. The staff at Precycle was also very friendly and helpful. They were happy to answer my questions about the products and help me find what I was looking for.Overall, I had a great experience shopping at Precycle. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a zero-waste grocery store.

Amazing! Zero waste shipping is so important and not nearly as accessible as it could be. We love Precycle. They have such a wide array of bulk items, jars, produce, and spices.

Really kind staff. I mostly buy their Matcha and it's pretty good quality at a good price.

If you believe that it's better to use less material in the first place than to use something and try to recycle it, this is the place for you. You can bring your own containers and buy both dry goods and fresh vegetables. They also have fresh bread and eggs. Even laundry & hand soaps. Enjoying our first pick up now and will be back for more! Hopefully they will add milk at some point.

Great selection of organic and bulk items. Discovered this place last year during quarantine and it was my saving grace for dried beans.

I appreciate the mission. Minimizing packaging waste and encouraging bulk buying should be commended. I visited this establishment on three different occasions twice well before covid and once recently. On all 3 occasions the fruits and vegetables were not in thier prime. This is understandable considering that they probably don't have a fast turnover like larger food chains. But the price should reflect the quality of the produce. If your fruits and vegetables are towards the end of their life price must be adjusted. Their produce is priced much higher then normal and it's seldom fresh. Being that most produce can be purchased without packaging at most supermarkets. Thier is reason to patronize this place if the goal is to remove package waste on produce. They do have a section for bulk dry goods. Seeds , Nuts, Beans , Lentils , Chickpea etc. All of which are about 40 to 50% more expensive than your average health food store. Also there are many health food stores in the city that allow you to buy bulk items and bring your own containers. I understand that pre-cycle probably doesn't have the same buying power as an establishment like whole foods/Amazon. Im comparing the price to the average health food store. Not Wholefood's. Whole foods has a questionable quality when it comes to their dry goods. Finally you have the bulk spices. This is something interesting. Dispute being 3 to 4 times as expensive compared to supermarkets. It can be hard to buy your spices by weight. I bought several spices and I found their quality to be good. Overall the love the concept of the store. And hope they make improvements.
