Half of the time when I buy Turkish cheese from there, it is gone bad :( They probably don't store them properly.

Love it here but don’t eat any of the proteins. Their fridges are not cold enough. I just bought expired turkey from June! It’s August! You’re gonna get people sick!

Really sad to be writing this, but unfortunately feel like this needs to be highlighted. I have been a loyal customer and go to Rachel’s often for quick hauls and late night grocery runs. Over past few days, have notice both their produce and refrigerated items are not fresh/rotten/moldy. The cheese / meats / other fridges are not being kept at a cold temperature - could see in some thermometers it was over 40-60 degrees Fahrenheit with many items warm to the touch. I bought a cheese and when I opened noticed it had definitely gone bad. Including a photo of the moldy pierogis despite an August expiration date… concerning that I saw them stocking the fridge right next to these but didn’t remove them. Definitely a health hazard

I am a regular at this place but unfortunately many of their fridges are broken and they are selling moldy, warm cheese that could make someone very ill. A lot of their produce is also rotten. I would avoid their meat and cheese fridges at all costs - it is being kept in 60+ degree Fahrenheit temperatures which is a major food safety hazard. I asked the cashier about the broken cheese fridge and he completely ignored me... will not be returning

The produce is good and it's a cute place with friendly staff but they raised the prices for no good reason. Expect to pay six times market value.

Produce outside is covered in pests and the burger buns are totally molded! I was afraid to look at the rest of the store to closely. Stick to packaged and jarred items.

Prices too high for milk and eggs but LOVE the unique products you can find here. Also great staff and happy to have a 24-hour grocery. My late night go-to when I realize I need something essential.

Reasonable price for the grocery in the area. Normally grocery price in Greenpoint is kindda high but this place has the price same as Spanish market so it is good to know. After I went to see the doctor I stopped by this market to shopping before I go back home. I was happy to find the place that has a good price.

They selling food expired date, bread, beer and what not and refused to reimburse,refund or let you take another product for the money spent, super poor customer service will never step in again I live down the block also super expensive store

I know the economic climate has been tough so I hate to leave a bad review, but someone is going to get sick from this grocery store. I can attest to the other reviewer who said the dairy/cheese fridge went out and they continued to sell the products — some of the cheese had very long expiration dates so I kept getting bad cheese and had to stop buying it there, which is a shame because the selection is the best in the neighborhood.ALL of the potatoes are always green as well, meaning extremely high solanine. They've clearly been out for months because obviously they aren't selling. At this point I just don't trust how they store and stock their food.
