The staff is extremely nice and friendly. The gym is very clean and well-maintained which includes the locker rooms. The equipment is also well-maintained and the space is huge so you don’t feel crammed.

I have been a part of the Park Slope Retro fitness community for three years now. My trainer, Suzanne, has been the most amazing teacher and friend. Having a safe place to enter the world of fitness has changed my life and I cannot recommend them enough!

Been going to this gym since the second day I moved to Brooklyn back in August. Wonderful, friendly staff and members. Not overcrowded. Sue the trainer is awesome and has worked hard to get me back to peak form. Movie room is the bomb.

The gym is always clean and neat and bright. People are friendly and respectful so it's always comfortable to be here. My trainer, Suzanne, is fantastic. She watches to make sure my form is correct and varies my workout to make sure I train all parts of my body. I'm really happy here at Retrofit.

STEER CLEARWhen I initially went to join I asked to pay cash and they refused, I signed up for a month to month membership - despite my better judgement and all the negative reviewers regarding issues with payments.Upon signing papers to cancel my membership in August I just found that I’ve been being charged since then.Don’t go, they’ll steal your money

Great gym for the price. Been my go to for years. For those who leave a bad review due to not being able to cancel - try calling ABC Financial. That’s who handles their membership fees.

I've updated my review and gave this place two additional stars...for the staff and members. However, if you want five stars from me, then please keep the insides of the locker cabinets clean as well as the benches in the locker room.

I was considering starting a membership here and read the reviews about how hard it is to cancel a membership, and that reminded me that I had the same infuriating experience when I tried to cancel my membership at their (now closed) Williamsburg location.This isn’t a case of poor management. It’s corporate culture. Fooled me once… no thanks.

Want to add another one-star review to the pile as my husband has been trying to cancel his membership for two months. Every response to every negative review will tell you to contact management but we have been trying to get in touch with the club manager Tamra for two months and have had no luck, and no luck speaking to a franchise owner. Atrocious and unacceptable business pratices. If you are considering this gym I would strongly advise against it. I would never do business with Retro Fitness again after this experience.
