No acknowledgment from National Sawdust after emailing about their IDNYC promo several times. Disappointing.

National Sawdust is a visual treat. The concert I most recently attended was set up in their extremely intimate cabaret set up, but I have done standing room shows in the venue too. It’s always comfortable, and there is no bad view in the house. The acoustics and speaker design are also perfect, ensuring you hear everything with precision. This is, hands down, one of the best venues in NYC and the world!

I love this venue and all their programming! Every time I go, it's to see an artist I've never heard of, and I always leave a big fan! Seeing music here is like going to church, a spiritual experience, really.

Do not sit in front of the control booth, especially for concerts in which the performers are playing or singing softly. The light board in the control booth makes a significant racket. When the venue's technicians operate it, they sound like they are clacking out a cranky email on an old computer keyboard. National Sawdust is a jewel of a venue and their programming is world class, but the clatter of a sound engineer's arrhythmic patter on their light board could ruin a performance for you - like it did for me when I saw JJJJJerome Ellis.

The small bar to get drinks has many non alcoholic options, which is awesome. The people working on site are friendly. Bathrooms are really clean. And the acoustic of the concert space is absolutely amazing.

Great venue for live music of all genres. Seating itself could use some upgrades and the bar space is small but sufficient. Friendly staff and great roster of varying artists being booked!

First time visiting this interesting space. It’s a kind of black box theater space. Super modular. The speakers in this place can make so much sound for the small space. The space allows for fairly intimate performances. The sound treatment in the space (white panels), look super cool, and have different patterns on them. I’d love to know if the different shapes capture different sound spectrums better??♂️They have a kitchen… I tried 2 different Disco tacos. They’re assembled more like a mulita. I tried 2 different proteins, and each taco (mulita) was unique. The “Tortillas” were unique in general, and compared to one another. The bar has good options, and the bartender made a great drink for my friend. There’s free water (self service). There are a bunch of all gender bathrooms. All the bathrooms are all gender.
