The bank itself is pretty nice with a nice courtyard inside. I went in for an interview didn't get the job cause the manager didn't like my stuffy shoes. Sorry I'm unemployed your lucky I had shoes at all. Other than that the staff was friendly.

First they stopped providing notary service this year. Now I find that they won't change my $20 bills for $100s (graduation gift time!). They "only change money for customers." (Of course I just got those 20s from their ATM and paid them $3.50 for the privilege.)
This is a bank that literally won't give you change. It's like they don't want to be a part of the community their branch is located in.

I needed to close an account. They accepted my driver license and had me sign a form. Then I was told that my NY issued driver license was not enough to withdraw from the account. Absolutely bewildered. A manager came over and explained their policy and stated no exceptions. Said it was meant to protect me from fraud. I asked what would happen to the money in my account. She gave me a blank look and walked away.I called Santander customer service and they were amazing. They actually called the branch. Told me that a check would be sent by mail. Also reported that the manager complained about me not complying with their policy. If I didn't have proper ID for a withdrawal, how could I have ID to close the account? Maybe that wasn't even me.

This review is for this SPECIFIC bank branch—we all know online/phone service for all branches is spotty but I can’t get over the lovely customer service I received just now when calling in to get a couple of certified Cheques for a new apartment. Donna helped me out and was so friendly and kind, even offering congratulations and waiving the fee on the cheques when she found it what it was for. There were some tech issues which were not at all her fault but she was so nice about it all even though it was as much a waste of her time as anyone’s. I was also really impressed by the conversations around me with the other bank staff and customers. It literally seemed like tellers here befriend their customers and remember them. That can’t be the case for every interaction obviously but just in the small sample I overheard I felt like this was the most good natured bank branch I had ever been in. The staff were all really nice to each other too, just felt like a supportive and sweet working environment.Didn’t expect to be writing a 5 star review for a bank pretty much ever but I just wanted to drop some compliments after my weirdly uplifting experience!

It's a bank. Fairly generic. Ridiculous ATM fees.
