Wholeheartedly agree with other reviewers: The best herring available. Truly reminiscent of the excellent types I'd had in Amsterdam or Antwerp. How ? Generous portions with oil and seasonings that are done just right, smothered in slivered onions. Buy them pre-packed in Kew Gardens Hills. Excellent. Essen gesundheit !- Eat in good health, you all !

This is the PLACE. It's a trip for sure for me but the simple items like Tuna fish and egg salad is amazing. The Herrings are worth the drive. Great looking store after rhe redo.You got to go in to see this old school experience.BTW if you are a Keichel fan this is the place to buy it.So glad some places don't change after a remodel.
