Consistently overcharged on sale items. Lincoln market is cleaner and has better prices. Much less chance of being overcharged there too. Too bad.

Staff is great. Food items are good. However prices are not always accurate and if you don't know the price you can easily be overcharged. You have to be extremely vigilant. The clerks blame the cash registers. Manager is always willing to adjust the price however you shouldn't have to be so vigilant.Occasionally items are not in the best condition. Fruit tends to be over or under ripe. You have to be very careful.

Today the supermarket that i love the most made me and my Social support Animals like we didn't have the right to be their , they asked me to leave , my baby is certified to help me deal with my extreme anxiety and panic attacks. It was horrible. They have no respect for my disability or my Emotional support Animals.

This place is honestly disgusting. I decided to give this place a try again & bought ground turkey from the Shady Brook brand. After cooking the ground turkey we noticed it had an odd smell. We ate it looking past it and ended up with food poisoning. We looked at the packaging and noticed the sell date was missing. The next day we went back to the store and informed the manager and he proceeded to blame us and acted like he didn't know why the date was missing. We checked other packages at the supermarket and they all did not have the expiration dates. Furthermore, we decided to ask a line worker why were the dates missing AND THEY INFORMED US THAT THE STORE ERASES DATES N CERTAIN PRODUCTS!!. I decided to take pictures and send them to Shady Brook and contact the appropriate personnel regarding these concerns. People are getting sick, and this can be fatal. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Horrible business.

My sister (a black woman 32 years-old, works in non-profit) was racially profiled and illegally searched today (2/6) at Shop Fair Supermarkets located at 1125 Fulton Street. Store attendant by the name of Armando accused Zina Reed of stealing a $2 can of tuna fish around 1pm.It's sad that these events are still happening in our community even during Black History Month, where any black person is assumed to be breaking the law. As she patrons the business weekly and continued to purchase over $40 of groceries, as they searched her purse, shopping reusable bag and cart at the checkout.
