$5.99 city vs. $1.97 suburb? Geez. What is Wakefern Food Corporation (corporate name of ShopRite) thinking for a quart of store brand egg nog in the city? ShopRite Of New Rochelle (New Rochelle, NY suburb) as mentioned here before is in my top favorite stores, worth a full five stars. (Prices from the week ending Saturday 12/16/23 from ShopRite Of Avenue I (1080 McDonald Avenue at the Avenue I intersection) in Brooklyn, NY (boro of NY City) and ShopRite Of New Rochelle. Rating at the top is for Avenue I mainly due to jacked prices on some items. New Rochelle has a great, better store decor, the other factor in the rating.)

Huge super market, it was chaotic inside but well stocked. The kosher section was big too! It was nice hearing on the intercom someone reminder shoppers of deals, the day we went was pies that were going fast. The next time I'm in town, I'll definitely come back to shop rite to get what I need for groceries.

I made a quick trip to the grocery store yesterday because there was a Labor day sale. I was excited to use the coupons I received in the Shoprite flyer. You can also use your digital coupons if you didn't receive the paper with the coupons. Here are the deals- corn: 8 for $2.96 and watermelon for $5.77, and figs for $4.99 a box. I just couldn't pass up these deals. The staff are helpful when you are not able to find the items you are looking for. Ambiance: It gets really busy when there is a good sale so plan your trip to the grocery store accordingly. I will continue to shop here for more good deals.

If you are looking for a supermarket like in the suburbs, this may just be the closest thing to it - Brooklyn style. Shoping here is never boring and they have an abundance of options. Dairy-free ice cream? Not just a couple flavors in one or two brands, but an entire dedicated freezer of it. Every kind of mainstream name brand food and foods from the many diverse cultures that surround it. Shelves are well stocked, there is a fresh bakery, and produce is decent. Between this store, Gala Apple on 18th Ave, and the Flatbush Food Co-op, most of my needs are covered.

I come here every so often because it's the nearest grocery store near me that isn't overpriced. The store has two free parking areas. Most of the time but it is completely filled to the brimmed. The aisle are well stock and organized. It's decently clean but it has this aroma that smells like raw chicken in the air. However, they are quite narrow and people are not really patient. They will jump over you to get something and not even alert you to their presence. They have tons of cashiers and they move relatively quick. I usually come in during the weekdays and during the morning and afternoon. It's almost always packed.

I have been shopping at ShopRite for the last decade and the customer service has been remarkable. However, ever since the pandemic they have been more lazy in their service and the deals aren't as good as they used to be. Other than that, the quality of their rotisserie chicken and donut pasteries has downgraded. The last time I purchased one of their chickens there wasn't even a drop of seasoning on it, it tasted like I was chewing on cardboard. When I had their Boston Cream Donut, the cream had a weird consistency and was bland like their chicken. Do better.

ERICA IS AWESOME. I moved here a little over a year ago, Erica and Melissa are the friendliest people there. It was just so nice for both of them to even remember who I am just by my face, but they care about the customers as well. I was having trouble with a medication copay, and Erica was so patient with me and helped me get a reduced/free copay on my medication. I can't thank them enough, to help me save $60/month, I will forever be appreciative. And she doordashed it to me to save me a trip 1000/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I live nowhere near this place but I'm willing to drive this far for their excellent customer service, shelves are always full, and I can find a wide range of things I can't get elsewhere.. and it's 24 hours!! Only part that sucked was you can't get a rain check until 7am, I stopped by 11pm so I had to make another trip the next morning.

Can't not recommend as they are the only big supermarket in area. They have anything you could want but workers not friendly, will not move out of you way when they are in aisles , and use inappropriate language . Also, don't understand why cashiers do not have to help bag items. They touch the items to scan them, so can't be because of covid. So now we have to bring our own bags and do our own packing. They stand there and then take another customer and squash your food. Now, I don't pay until I pack myself all up. This way they can't take another customer until I'm done.

This pharmacy and its owners is a blessing to the location. So convenient, you can do your shopping at Shoprite and get prescription medicine at the same time, saving you time and money. Very private service and very helpful people.

This is my local grocery store so I come here often. Unfortunately, it's always a hit or miss. Their produce is typically fresh (most times), but I'm often let down by their meats and seafood. I'll get home, open up my salmon ready to cook and it'll smell so bad. It's very disappointing. They're usually good with returns and there's always someone there to assist you. It's alwayssss packed and best to go when it dies down around 5pm on Friday's.
