Working at ShoreFront after school program is absolutely amazing. It's such a rewarding experience to be able to nurture and care for children in a safe and fun environment. The program provides a great opportunity to engage with kids, help them with their assignments, and even prepare simple meals. Plus, picking them up from school adds an extra level of convenience for busy parents. It's truly a wonderful place to work!

Security staff on the photo favors some customers and denies access to the facility to others thinking that people are dictating him how to do his job.Calling for an appointment won't be helpful as nobody picking up the phone or returning calls if you leave a voicemail.A customer stopped by on Tuesday and Friday of the same workweek when this Security guard was on duty, bringing a witness on Friday and this Security Guard lied to the customers' face saying that he doesn't remember the face of the customer (after looking at the face without a face mask?).There are security cameras in this facility - proof that Security Guard is lying is easy to check by looking at the recordings. If this Security Guard would be replaced by someone more honest and helpful this facility would have a much better review, as I used to refer customers there in the past myself.

My kids have been going here for over 5 years. they engage in every possible activity that this organization has to offer. From swimming, gymnastics, to Sumer camps. I have to say that this is a classic Brighton attitude place. Rude, unprofessional, from the "Director of Security" who thinks he is the boss of the place, stating that the space surrounding his desk is his personal office and the parents are not allowed to watch their children participate in gymnastics, because the see through windows and part of the floor under it apparently overlaps with the imaginary line of the "office space". Having to listen to this nonsense while we, the parents, are paying these people. Meanwhile the gymnastics team, has no problem with parents observing their little acrobats from the outside.Than this rude lady who is not willing to listen and just cuts you off like your some kind of an annoying brat, and that's the "director of operations" in this place. We, the parents, are not asking for much, just a little respect, compromise and kindness. Especially because our families are staying loyal and keep returning to you year after year. Just unbelievably upset and disappointed.

I am delighted with this place. My kids go here for after school and summer camps. They enjoy new adventures, excursions, or swimming every day. The staff is very polite, they inform me in time if something bothers the child.I recommend it❤️

I'm writing this as a former P.A, I worked here for maybe three weeks over the summer. This camp is the biggest waste of time I have ever laid my eyes upon. The kitchen smells of rotten food, the higher-ups are incapable of empathy or sympathy of any kind. The biggest offender of this I will NOT mention by name, thought it is the head of the camp. In my short time of employment at the camp, I have only seen him around three times. Otherwise, he will be sitting in his office and eating food brought up by P.As.Camp counselors (not to be confused with Program Assistants (P.As)) are also incredibly rude and entitled. A handful of them will wild out at the kids who are misbehaving for some reason. Just kidding! The reason is because they are children. I was unfortunate enough to see this in person and it was fairly jarring to see a young adult scream at an eight year old in such a vicious and inappropriate manner. As a P.A it was my job to handle food, and also work as human wall. During our many beach trips every one or two day(s) P.As (who are still mostly teenagers) would line up on a beach, and clean it up for the children. This in an of itself would not be an issue if it were not for the fact that the P.As would be forced to line up on each side of a small portion of the beach and stand in the hot sun for hours at a time. No joke. You would only be allowed to move if you were to get water. Of course, phone usage was reasonably prohibited. I was lucky enough to be exempt, but after my termination I find it unnecessary to sing any praises of this downright horrendous excuse of a job. I would constantly hear my co-workers complaining about how they've burnt or just overheated. If you are unfortunate enough to fall hook line and sinker into this job via SYEP or any other means, please be prepared just in case for the following of which I have endured. Horrible management, poor excuses of busy work, your bosses will treat you like children, your 'co-workers' (counselors, not all) will call you slurs behind your back and insult you for not bringing them their food in time (as if they are incapable of getting it themselves), and a whole lot of standing around and doing nothing except baking in the sun, or being chewed out.I was fired without warning, only mere days after being told how good of a worker I am. The big boss decided to terminate me because I ate a piece of watermelon from a tray (with a fork, with a hairnet, with gloves) and said it was a "HEALTH CONCERN" and that his "hands were tied". Reportedly, I had been told by my co-workers that this was not allowed, and that this would surely be reprimanded. However, I have zero recollection of ever having an event like this, and even if I did in my humble opinion I believe that executive warning should be stated before termination. This was not the case.Oh, and the boss used rather unsavory and vulgar language to describe my heinous crime. He used words such as "dirty mouth" to describe me. I was frankly taken aback that this would be the final nail in the coffin for me. Or should I say FIRST and final, as I had never been reprimanded in my entire time working here up to this point. If you are to work here, please know that nothing is off the table for management.

It's my kids' third year going to this camp, this year is the worst, the counselors yell at the kids, my kids don't want to go to camp, every morning is a struggle, Dorf, the director doesn't know how to speak with the parents, he has an attitude, we keep kosher and I thought it was a strictly kosher camp but the kids bring non kosher food to camp, I am very disappointed with the rude staff.

this is actually a zero star review. absolutely horrible and if I could give this place zero stars I would. I'm giving this review from the point of view of a camp counselor that has been a part of this organization for four years. to start off about 20 something children are grouped together under the supervision of two preteen counselors that have no prior training to working with children, if your child has special needs too bad because they are just lumped in with the rest of them. The day starts off at the beach where they are surrounded by a wall of counselors where the kids are told every 30 minutes whether they can put their ankles in the water, or they can sit in the sand , this goes on for about 3 to 4 hours. If the child is overheated too bad if the child needs water too bad. children would beg counselors to take them back to the bathroom so they can cool down because they were near heat exhaustion from all the hours in the sun , while the rest of the kids were policed by understaffed counselors, and most of the kids ended up, just running around the beach because there weren't enough counselors to supervise them, not to mention the councilors were also delirious by that point. After that the children would go to lunch where many children would just avoid it and beg to not eat because it made kids throw up get sick or have stomach aches for the rest of the day .for the kids who were able to somehow handle the food, they were rationed and left, crying and complaining that they were starving after, but we couldn't give them any snacks, even though there was a whole closet full of them. After the kids were heat exhausted, and starved they would go to activities, run by none, other than the delirious preteen counselors. It's so sad this camp is so expensive for absolutely nothing not to mention the staff gets treated so poorly .my first year working here I was a CIT. I got paid four dollars an hour for three hours a day, even though I was forced to work 40 hours a week. my second year working there. I got paid four dollars an hour for 40 hours a week but somehow my last two weeks pay got " lost in the mail" in the tips that my campers had given me out of the kindness of their heart the program overseer at the time had taken from me. Absolutely disgusting. Two years before that. I had volunteered two hours almost every week as a part of their task force and all I asked, for after was a letter indicating the hours I had volunteered, and they couldn't even give me that. All this place does is take. it is a prison for the kids and the councilors. I dont know where this expensive camp tuition goes, but it isn't to the camp. this place is a prison and a scam and if I were you I would run. find a different camp any camp. don't send your child here.

Social workers in Shorefront Y do not want to help. Today I called Russian speaking representative and instead of answering my questions she sent me to the Social Security website. Shame on these people!

Ever since the supervisor change everything is so strict and it's not fun to work here at all. I don't recommend it at all. Maybe it's because of covid but the kids basically do the same things over and over again. Most of the time they have nothing exciting to tell their parents, except "look at this drawing I made". They either go to the beach twice in the row or go to the park and have 3 other activities. Really no one finds dance interesting either. The food isn't that good either, the calzone looked like a piece of dry bread and they had lettuce to the side a slice of tomato. What even is that seriously. And as said before working there is not fun as i hoped it would be, it's a camp for crying out loud.

Nice place.Counselors and staff were all warm and caring ! Children many programs here.Possibility is learn to swim, went to day care, camp and after school program. Very young kids starting to swim in the Swim academy. The elderly parents and in-laws received assistance from social workers. We had a great experience with every program that we attended.
