I absolutely love Smith & Vine in Brooklyn! Every time I visit, I receive knowledgeable and personalized service from the staff who help me navigate their impressive variety of wines. It's my go-to wine shop whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommend checking them out!

Love Smith & Vine! We moved further away and I will pass 3-4 other liquor stores to come here. Awesome selection, knowledgable staff, great vibe.

No help, no service, no greeting, not even an "Oh that's a nice one!" at the chekout. I'll also point you to similar experiences of other Google reviewers. So, now that is customer experince covered, on to wines..Like so many retail vintners popped up the last decade branding themsleves as unusual or eclectic, this store offers a wild variety of wines, wildly ranging in quality, at a wild range of pricing... leaving the customer to, 'pays your money and takes your chances' no matter how much you pay - though stay away from baragins here!

Imagine walking into a store and being the only person who wasn't greeted or offered help. Well. I didn't want to bw sensitive and make this a race thing but it was. I watched the clerks ignore me and come around to everyone else but me. When i finally decided to stay something to one of the clerks who didn't offer help and offered a sorry apology. I decided to spend my money somewhere else! Shameful!!

a nice selection and a well kept store but staff is uptight and rude. seems like they only want a certain type of customer if you know what i mean.

Great selection of wines and liquors (whiskey especially). They keep their website inventory up to date, so even though you can't step inside due to COVID, it's easy enough to order. Picked up a bottle of Bruichladdich Scotch for a friend, a bottle of Heaven Hill Mellow Corn for a cool $20 (it's basically a meme at this point among online whiskey reviewers - and well worth it), and a big box of St. Agrestis negroni cocktail. People working there were super nice. Will be back soon!

Authentic high quality friendly down to earth yet eclectic! This joint has it all. Local brooklyn vibe - I think the owners live in the neighborhood forever - but no hipster Attitude. I have had so many amazing wines here that I never would have tasted. Easy quick website to order. Staff super friendly although they are being careful with covid so order or call ahead. I have loved them for years and they never let me down! But the review today - what made me take time to actually write - is this new one of a kind Rye they just made! DG Watson's. Amazing. Best Rye I ever had! Gonna buy it for the holidays for everyone! This place has an amazing bourbon and tequila and gin selection as well. Even some tasty mezcals if you are feeling spicy! Best place in the hood for sure!

I have to give this place a5/5. It's been a tradition of mine for years to go before visiting relatives nearby and buying wine before what can sometimes turn out to be contentious family dinners. I think one thing we all agree on.- the wine is always good. Outside of that, if you even think about the kind of consistency Smith & Vine has provided - on Smith Street nonetheless - which changes storefronts by the week - for as long as they have it's pretty amazing, The staff has always been knowledgeable, they can match your budget - whether it's at the under $20 table or if you can go for a bit more (or more than a bit more) - you definitely should. You're in good hands either way. They keep up with and support local producers. There's more often than not a cute dog there. I had to miss a brother's birthday today because of shelter-in-place but had no problem calling them, admitting what I could humbly spend, what I had in mind, and just letting who was working there choose. It was delivered not long after.

Eclectic mix but includes the favorites. Very knowledgeable staff, always fun and lovely to walk around, never rushed. Love their mixed bags and their cremant magnums.

I didn't realize how important it is to have a properly curated $10 - $15 bottle table until I started shopping here. If you're in a hurry, grab a bottle and you can trust it's going to be good. They will not try to sell you on the "case of the week" here. 10/10

The worst customer service!! Went there for a bottle of wine and they looked liked they were being bothered when asked a question .

Poor customer service. I was looking for a specific brand of wine that was for a gift. I asked the sales associate or manager that was on the floor stocking the shelves. His response was nope and turned around to give us his back and continued doing the work he was doing. So immediately I started to walk out because he was rude and clearly not a very good sales man. As we were leaving he loudly said if you looking for a wine in that price range we don't have it. How rude! He should of showed me something similar to what I was looking for and asked some more questions to make a sale. was looking for a brand that was inexpensive but what my secret Santa requested. I felt that he assumed I was in the wrong store because he assumed I could not afford the selections the store sells. Which is very much not the case. I will never return there and continue to go to my regular store on Court St where they know how to treat customers.
