We LOVE this bar. Any date night we have in the city starts here. The jazz is always incredible, and the mussels are our favorite that we’ve ever had.Honestly, everything on the menu is good, even the deviled eggs. Go for dinner, reserve a spot near the jazz ahead of time, and definitely try the mussels! You won’t regret it.

I went with a friend the "gyspy" jazz show on a Friday night. The musicians, a guitar duo, were really talented and played for a couple of hours, creating the perfect ambience, in the dark cellar downstairs for dinner with great background music. It may get loud as some large groups try to speak over the music if you are unlucky. The drinks are decent, we tried the BROWN DERBY, JOSEPH MITCHELL, ZEBERINO, AND HANKY PANKY. I would not recommend the hanky panky if you don't really like fernet and bitter drinks, it was not really my cup of tea.For food we had DEVILED EGGS, ROASTED RED PEPPERS, GIGANTE BEENS for appetizers, which were good, in particular the eggs but they only came 3 halves, peppers and beans came in a small plate. Then we had the ROASTER CAULIFLOWER, SEASONAL RISOTTO, and CHURROS WITH CHOCOLATE for dessert.I really liked the Risotto that day was Porcini mushroom, very rich and flavorful, the rice grain was perfectly cooked. The cauliflower was delicious, roasted until its a bit crunchy outside and tender inside and with the tahini sauce made a perfect combination. The curros were the classic Mexican style sugar-covered churros that you would get in NYC, 3 large churros for $12.I would come back, I definitely recommend the RISOTTO and the CAULIFLOWER.SPANISH:I went with a friend to the "gypsy" jazz show on a Friday night. Had a fun time in their cellar. Their drinks were delicious! I got the Brown Derby and my boyfriend got the Espresso Martini.

We had dinner and drinks a few weeks ago while visiting NYC. The food was very good as well as the service. The prices were also reasonable. There was a jazz trio playing music where we were seated in the lower level.

The service and food were great- we had roasted Brussels and beet hummus. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. We loved the music

food and drinks were pretty average (undercooked and small portions), and service was borderline rude (we had changed our reservation with the hostess who accepted the change, but the waitress threatened to move our party still). the ambiance was nice, but the live music didn’t line up with their schedule so we ended up only catching the first part of a set.
