The owner is a really wonderful, knowledgeable man. Great selection of stones, incense, candles. I’ve never left with what I’ve come for (and then some!) I also had a reading and it was fantastic. Highly recommend.

An authentic place, with a great selections of books, good incense, candles. And the owner Tom is the sweetest man, and so helpful. You can tell he knows what he is talking about, he is not here because of the trend around crystals and tie&dye clothes. In this very gentrified neighborhood (and don't get me wrong, I love Greenpoint!), this place is a precious haven.
I'm from Paris and come to NYC as much as I can, and I always make a stop at Starhawk. Hope to come back soon!

I simply called, spoke with owner, ordered the two long sleeved shirts and had them sent as a gift. The quality and promptness of delivery is amazing. I definitely will recommend their shirts. One shirt my son has he’s been wearing over two years regularly, and it looks brand new!

This may sound silly, but for years I wanted a nice tie dye shirt. The problem I always had was that most tie dye shirts are done with ill fitting, interior quality material.Tom, the owner, was very passionate about his craft, and couldn’t have been more welcoming. Tom asked about our background, our visit to NY, foods to try, etc. He then explained the process andante the passion came through. The sweatshirt I wanted was incredible, from fit to absolute brilliance of the look. He told me that people will approach me ask where I got my shirt.I bought it, and when I got back to the hotel, put it on and looked, I KNEW I wanted another and that I wanted some for my daughters.I was heading back to the shop, and the doorman at the hotel said “That sweatshirt is really awesome!”I returned and bought 4 more.These aren’t the cheapest tie dyes you can find, but the patterns and quality will make them the best you’ll ever own.

I was made aware of this shop by my children who frequent it for tie dye outfits, incense, crystals and charms. Let me say it is so much more. There are books, tarot cards, candles even a Vouyuer who was spot on in her checking. The shopkeeper is very informative and honest enough to go the extra mile in assisting you if he doesn’t have what you’re looking for. He is a pleasure to talk to. Store is especially wonderful for gifts.

I only recently found this place doing a search for koshi chimes. I’d never heard of this shop prior and was shocked because I thought I knew about all the crystal-candle-metaphysical stores around me, lol, and it’s been on my list of places to get to. I didn’t realize I was in the area of this shop the other day when I happened to be wandering around Greenpoint by chance. I walked by after visiting Anima Mundi Herbals and before lunch at the Jungle Cafe, saw the windows and thought “I have to go in there!” Then I saw the name and had to laugh at the serendipity! What a fantastic store and perfect happenstance to a beautiful day! All the reviews about Thom and what a sincerely awesome person he is are 100% true! He makes all the tie-dye clothes and accessories himself, and will custom dye for you too! The store is clean and organized, with an amazing selection of crystals, candles, incense, singing bowls, books, card decks, and many other unique and beautiful items! He also carries crystal singing bowls as well as alchemy bowls - what?! He played some of those for me and I felt like I was in a private sound bath. Oh. My. Goodness. Absolutely stunning! I felt as if I was in a frequency tunnel and every cell was vibrating. I didn’t find my koshi chimes (he said he’s looking into getting those) but I did get a few other items and gifts. If all this is your thing, I think you’ll find all you need here, without having to go anywhere else! Love it! (I was too blissed out to remember to take photos! Lol!)
