I love Sterling Place! It’s a wonderfully curated boutique with new and vintage furniture, curios, and the best gift selection. Highly recommend a visit - every time I have a party coming up, or holiday, or birthday, I like to stop in to find something special. Wide selection of prices too and very friendly (and helpful!) staff.

I ordered a pair of Moroccan-style denim floor poufs for my apartment and had an excellent experience working with Rob, the owner. He offered a price that was significantly better than what I was finding online, hand-delivered the merchandise to my home after work (I do not work from home) at a time that worked for my busy schedule. Notably, he was very communicative and understanding as we coordinated the delivery. Rob really showed his appreciation for my business! 5 stars for excellent communication and service.

We just bought this table and quickly discovered that the owner marked up the price by $80-90. Not cool! Why wouldn't you give your customers the opportunity to buy at market value?! No integrity at all! Will not be coming back to this store. It's got cute things, but as we've learnt can definitely find it all at a better value elsewhere. Very very disappointing! You can't return for a refund, just store credit.

A great place to buy a gift for that interesting person in your life who already has everything. Lots of cool and unique items here that you can't find anywhere else. I've purchased a number of items here over the years both for me and as gifts for others. Everyone loved the items I gifted and I always receive compliments on the ones I've kept for myself. Even if you're not shopping for anything or anyone in particular, stop in to browse their selection!

Very, very mixed feelings. The selection is solid given that it's not a huge place, so it is absolutely worth stopping in. Additionally, the first time my girlfriend and I walked in to look around, a man helped us look at some things, and he was terrific. Among other things, he showed us a bookshelf that we really liked, but needed to think about because it was pricy for us (not a bad value, just pricy). Did't try to hard sell us on anything, but was also incredibly helpful. After thinking about the bookshelf for a bit more than a week, we decided to get it. We were in another part of town, but hopped in an Uber to make it before closing yesterday so that we could take it home (it's on wheels, and we live a couple of blocks away) and finish setting up a room. Me: we'd like to buy that bookshelf. Her: we can set up delivery for you. Me: actually, we just live down the street, we'd like to roll it out of here. Her: oh... could you maybe come back later in the week? Me: i'm out of town for work this week, but, huh, i guess we could come back next weekend... Not sure we will. I don't mean this out of spite (because that would just be stupid), but because my gf now wants to look at additional options since "we didn't get it set-up before you left for the week anyway." So... averaging the 5 and 1, it's a 3 for service. But while it's a 5 for selection, I only gave this a 3 overall because of the "do I now have to spend another day looking at bookshelves?" factor.

The employees are so nice and knowledgeable and they are often willing to go the extra mile to help out. I was remodeling my dining room and wanted to keep my old table but it was such a dark rosewood I couldn't find any chairs and shelving to match it. The ladies at this store helped me pick out some chairs that actually CONTRASTED in a very nice way, and I had them re-upholstered. They are so chic! And they ordered me some shelves that work perfectly.

Cool and classy. A trip here is like stepping into the pages of a fancy home-decorating magazine. It's part of the stretch of antique and home stores on this part of Atlantic Avenue, and it's the store I'd be most likely to make a purchase from during a day of shopping there. It does have beautiful old pieces for sale, but it's really more of a well-designed gift store, with a selection of tasteful, fun, and whimsical items suitable for kids and adults. Give a gift from here and it will really stand out. Or leave empty-handed yet inspired by the smart decor and the thought and care that have clearly gone into this place.

I have to say I've found my new favorite store. I had been searching for a Valentines day gift for my boyfriend for some time and many of the Brooklyn boutiques just don't offer great gifts for men. When I walked into sterling place I couldn't believe the wonderful selection they offer in both new and vintage items. The staff is very helpful and I ended up finding the perfect gift for him. This is now my goto place for gifts.

What a great place and what treasures I found there! This place was like walking into my Grandma's so many wonderful antiques. The only thing I didn't like was that I had gone to the store on the tuesday before Xmas and returned 5 days later to find something I that was priced at $45. originally was now $58. I felt like they price gouged for the holidays but other than that it was very nice. They had modern cook books ect but generally it was a lovely place with decent prices considering.

Any time you need an idea for a unique and inexpensive gift (especially when you have no idea what to get) stop here first! Perfect place to find things that you would never find anywhere else, and all at great prices. Beautifully presented merchandise with a helpful staff!
