We were scammed when we booked a stay at this place. It is not a hotel, it is a scam. At first we thought it was legitimate, but it is not and it is not safe. We came from England for our first trip to New York. It was a scary and disheartening experience to stay at this location. Please be careful.Safety: It is not safe

The beds are not comfortable for me at all I can feel every spring in the folding cot mattress. I guess because I'm homeless at this time I don't get a regular mattress that they normally would have for paying guess. I cantcl complain because I don't want start my process over again in path intake center in the bronx.

We stayed at Super 8 for a week to celebrate New Year and we liked our clean room, the bed is comfortable and soft, the receptionists are nice, you guys they have a nice hot water unlike other comments here. The hotel is a bit isolated but it’s only 5 minutes of walk to subway (L train) which is a plus. We always went back at the hotel late at night and we never experienced any disturbances or anything bad in the street. The only downside they have is the complimentary breakfast (water bottle, yogurt, and few cookies) I hope they could do better than that. But, all in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I had a wonderful stay and experience with super 8 in Brooklyn! I had all of what I needed. My room was clean, safe and peaceful when ever I returned to the hotel. The staff said hello and goodbye when I saw them and asked me if I needed anything. This was my first time in New York by myself after 30 years since the last visit. I’m a very friendly person, So it was very nice to receive back the kindness I put out. I recommend this hotel and the area, citibike, and subway are close. The area has multiple food choices! Enjoy!

This is a new hotel and as of Sept 2021 it is not ready to host actual guests. (Edit: seems like these aren't problems anymore) So much is not working properly. The elevators are a pain. The hot water is not functioning and we were compensated for this but in hindsight it was not nearly enough, and I had to ask for a discount they weren't going to present me with one. The water didn't even work at all in our first room and management didn't know and had to be reminded to look into it. Once we got working cold water The shower was an abysmal drip, it was not easy to bathe. The staff seems like they're trying their best but there's just so many issues. The rooms are clean because it's new but other than that our stay is not as advertised. There's supposed to be free breakfast but I have seen no evidence of any breakfast. I would stay away unless you're willing to deal with many small headaches, hopefully it's all better in a few months.

Two night stay in December.I called check in with my name & number to say I was coming in late, and was told it's okay. Then when I got off the plane, I had a message saying that my reservation would be cancelled if I don't contact them by 9PM. I specifically told them I would be arriving later than that!?I called back repeatedly since it was still 1HR commute from JFK and no one answered. If they cancelled, I may have ended up at a better hotel, but I was still able to check in ?Definition of 'no frills' hotel:Thin wallsNo heat or A/CNo hair dryer in the bathroom. Low water pressure.Thin towels. No hooks for the towels.Phone did not work. Internet slow.TV only had wonky local digital channels and no cableIdk about the breakfast situation, but I feel like I didn't miss anything.I got what I paid for ?At least the bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water.

It’s a nice new property in an area which seems to be going through the origins of gentrification. I would definitely avoid the area at night (it’s quite industrial). The rooms itself are small and very poorly insulated, I could smell smoke coming from an adjacent room (I booked a non-smoking room).

Its a mess. The bed was full of bed bugs! Every night someone screamed or fought from 4 to 8 am so we could not sleep! The breakfast is just a bag with a chocolate croissant a drink and a yogurt. It was really dirty and our room was not ready when we arrived. When we went to check out, the manager wanted us to give him a good report! No, not really! Thanks, but for so much money in this area I would like to have more!

Rooms: A bit small but for the price and location, you'll live. The sheets were not in the best condition so I slept on top of my own items that I bought. They have black out curtains so that was nice.Service: Check-in was easy. Had to go back downstairs since my room had a TV with no remote and the guy at the front followed me up and was a bit too snarky about the channels they provided. I used the remote and asked about Netflix, hulu etc while talking to him and he basically said, just stop looking for it because we don't have it. Tv has about 5 good channels of the same programs throughout the day so, hit or miss with that.Location: I'm from Brooklyn so the location was pretty decent. Not to far a walk to train stations or a bus. This building is close to the L train but you could walk to flushing and get the J as well.Overall, good not great. But again, for the price.. no reason to get mad about the little details.

I did not enjoy my stay very much. I was able to hear slamming doors from the hallway. They also don’t have a place to leave your suit case if you need to for even a couple of hours! I found hairs on the towels as well.

There's NEVER anyone on the front desk.I have the impression that I have been more time waiting on someone there that actually on the room.We got easy fixable problems (request from extra blankets, cards won't open the roomdoor, remote control of the tv without batteries) but waiting 10-15 minutes EACH time at the front desk.HONESTLY NOT.

Cute little hotel in a good location. Close to the L line subway, lots of good restaurants and natural food shops in the area. The hotel is nice, clean, and new. The mattresses and pillows could use a comfort upgrade, but you get what you pay for in New York.

1 star because zero is not an option. Stay away. Don't book this hotel. Very unsavory people use this hotel. You know your in the wrong place when the check in desk is a booth covered by bullet proof glass.

We arrived in Brooklyn however were turned away at the door as the hotel had a "problem". We were never notified and they said they didn't have our information on file. Disappointing and wondering what exactly the issue was that meant they had to close the whole hotel...
