Roland give me a quote of $450 to change the crank position sensor on a Saab 9-5. He must be out of his freaking mind or plain greedy. I shopped artound and got it replaced for only $80 at a shop on Staten Island. Roland.Rave all you want about this roland mechanic.Shop around you'll find he is overrated and way over priced.

What a find! I brought my 1994 900 Turbo convertible to Roland for a syncro issue. The work was done at the estimated time and cost. He also tweaked some of the model’s quirks—the confused HVAC distribution switch and uncooperative turn signal arm. I highly recommend the Swedish Underground. As long as I have the car, Roland has a customer. He’s a great guy to boot!

I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for Roland at Swedish Underground for the fantastic work he did on my 2009 Saab 9-3. Every time I drive this car, I can’t help but smile from ear to ear, and that’s all thanks to his outstanding professionalism and expertise. I’m truly thankful for his dedication! Let’s continue to keep the Saab spirit alive!

Roland is an A Class mechanic and an even better human being. If you’ve got a Saab, save yourself the trouble and bring it in to Swedish Underground.

I have used this mechanic a few times and, while they can be disorganized*, they are excellent at diagnosing issues and quick to repair them. It is not a cheap auto repair shop but it is worth it because, not only issues get fixed, they stay fixed.
I regret I no longer live within a reasonable distance from this place, and strongly recommend it to any Saab owner.
*I once made an appointment only for them to forget to write it down, and denied I had called, so I wasted a trip and had to return on another date

Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!! This is hands down the best mechanic I've ever been to. Roland is truly a Sabb expert and he is the only person I trust to work on my 93. Highly recommend!
