Worst experience! I went with my kids to purchase clothes for them. You can imagine, by now a 6 years old and 8 years old are able to pick their own clothes based on their personal taste. The children place is The prison place. One of the workers kept bothering them to stay next to me. My kids are not dogs in a leash, you chase away your customers and you made my experience unpleasant. Go and work in any other store but not attending kids. Such a shame!

Cashier was very mean to me. He was trying to blame me for purchasing online and returning stuff and that’s why they are closing like it’s my fault… I usually purchasing clothes for kids in Gap and H&M and I just wanted to try something else this time and it was huge mistake. Not surprising store is closing, they hired so unprofessional staff nobody would like to buy anything in the store.

I’m not surprised by the awful reviews. They shut the door in my face 10 minutes before closing time. I’ll be sure to contact the corporate office for employees stealing company time at this location.

I only came here because they didn't have the children's clothes that I needed at the other Bensonhurst location. The store is an absolute mess! They look understaffed. The only employees were on the register. I needed help with a size, and had to wait on a long line for service.I'm going to shop online when I get home. Left empty handed.

I've never been a fan of Children's Place. They typically have a very sloppy appearance. Also, the quality of the clothing always seemed subpar. I was at the Gap next door and wasn't able to get much; so I ventured here. My daughter had her own money and I was allowing her to buy whatever she liked, since it was her money to spend. She got two outfits, that she liked for summer camp, but overall I was still disappointed with what they had to offer.

This store is the absolute worst! A worker at the store made a mistake by ringing a gift card purchase with a cash balance at one terminal, then cancel it because “that terminal only accepts cash” but when her inept coworker tried to ring it, the gif card balance said zero. Essentially the transaction hasn’t gone through but the balance was no longer there ?. So I had to walk away from the store with no goods purchased and a zero balance of my gift card - WITH NO RECEIPT OR RECORD OF ANY TRANSACTION WHATSOEVER and the customer service line is closed - they don’t even bother telling you the hrs of operation on that line ??♂️.How did she handle it, you asked…?? She got flat out belligerent when I became frustrated with such poor service and ineptitude, she told me to leave her store and threatened to call the police. Is that how you train your workers to handle these situations @ChildrensPlace? When the ineptitude and gross negligence get too much for them to manage, simply threat the patrons? Is that on your training manuals? I can see why the ratings at this particular store are sooo poor. Corporate seems to let this location run amok and the untrained staff doesn’t seem to care how they handle basic service issues because everything is inconsequential. Great job Children’s Place/Gymboree. I hope you’re proud of what you’ve done to my family yesterday at the 86th Street store in Brooklyn, NY ?.

I agree with so many of the other comments here...The staff are very unhelpful. The lines are especially long.I was searching in front of a staff member and obviously having difficulty finding the correct size for my child (who was with me). I asked where his clothing was (and specified his size). I was given the entirely wrong location. The staff member could see I wasn't finding his size. She didn't bother to help. I found it on my own. Would have been better off if she never misdirected me. That being said...the sales on clothes are good and the clothes are of decent quality...I looked at other locations thinking I might find better service...guess bad customer service is part of the corporate culture...I'm going to stick with Cookies!

Staff are rude. I was doing some shopping for my daughter and she made the rudest comment ever. She called costumers animals and the cashier doesn’t even greet. You just don’t feel welcome there. Bad service overall.

The young lady at the cash register has no signs of life. She's completely checked out with no smile, no greeting, no emotions. Just the bare minimum yes and no when asked questions or even better - no response. The way she chats with the other staff is the same way so at least it's not just me.
