I’ve been coming here for a while now because I love the options and prices. I’ve recently noticed a new addition(because again I’ve been coming for a while). In the strong but sweet wine section I’ve noticed new wines from isreal. With the recent hostilities from that occupied ‘country’ I find it VERY off putting that you guys have decided to platform anything of theirs. I’m not sure who the owners of this establishment are but if there are any ties to occupied Palestine I wish to know. If not, I have a GREAT option of truly and (as far as I know) free Arabic wine called Vin de Messe Rouge Doux Gianaclis. I hope this doesn’t fall on deaf ears because I have truly enjoyed coming here but I must take my dollar where my heart, humanity, and principle lie.

for the most part all liquor stores in nyc are pretty much the same nothing special about them anymore. You can find everything and anything you want and need here or anywhere but at least when you go to shop anywhere else it’s obvious this is a business establishment there’s work to be done and money to be made but it’s very clear the owner/employer is only concerned about the money and underpaying their employees. It doesn’t take a trained eye to see what’s going on here. This employer is constantly hiring, but doesn’t want to hire just anyone. He looks for specific individuals to take advantage of and underpay for example migrants people without citizenship taking advantage of desperate individuals etc…It’s individuals like this that you should be aware of he will bring you on board lead you to believe what ever B.S. they feed you string you along waste your time and then let you go once their needs are met and pretty much done using you. Your needs and wants will not be meet if you’re looking at “the liquor store” for employment if you respect yourself kindly look elsewhere don’t waste your time or energy, but if you’re just passing by just to buy anything random to drink at least it serves its purpose, barely but I’d make visits here brief there’s so many other places in New York City, where you can spend better time and money.

This place is great. Awesome location, super clean and well lit, and I love the organization of varietal and country/origin. Their prices cannot be beat in the city. Ever since TJ wine store closed in NYC I haven’t found a wine store even close to the same value, and this one is arguably better.
The workers are all great, and I especially love the sake selection. If you’re in downtown BK, Boerum Hill, FT Green or even Prospect Park Heights you have to make this your wine/liquor spot.
