The pharmacist is knowledgeable, pleasant and intelligent. They also have a copy machine and allow you to print emails. Do not get on their bad side.

Absolute disaster! I needed urgent medication - even called the pharmacy beforehand and then they closed 1 hour before their official closing hour!

Thriftway at 1621church ave bklyn NY is d greatest because pharmacist & staffs know how to service d neighborhood. They are both humane & professional, and kind, & competent. This pharmacy is very useful to our community. I recommend family members, friends without hesitation. When someone is sick, you need to deal with people who care regardless of your background, age etc. Every neighborhood deserves a pharmacy like this one. Being a healthcare provider myself, who cares about everyone entrusted under my care, I am very happy when others treat me with respect, and a caring attitude. Such level of professionalism develops a sense of trust..I hope that they maintain that level of standard of care, also remain active in the service of this area, of the people.

Such a caring staff. Went here on two separate occasions, to get something notarized and then to inflate some balloons. Customer service is great!

I have had numerous problems with Thriftway pharmacies over the years. For a long time it was my primary Pharmacy but I have since stopped going for meds. The following are some of the problems that I have had with this pharmacy: 1. During the covid-19 pandemic they sold fake N95 masks. I only realized they were counterfeit after going home and reading articles about fake PPE flooding the market from China. Clearly the pharmacy knows how to Source their products and I find it hard to believe that they did not know that thier N95 stock was fake. The people buying their products for medical use should beware the markings for authenticity. Fake PPE is dangerous to people who need it for medical use. 2. Thriftway Pharmacy routinely expects customers to sign off confirming that they've received medication that they have not. I personally have been asked numerous times to sign that I received a full bottle of medication when in fact a pills were missing. This is bad practice. A respectable Pharmacy does not do an "iou" on medication orders and then mark them as filled. Customer should also not be told to urgently come pick up their order if it has not been filled and they are missing a quarter of the pills. 3. Thriftway Pharmacy tried to take insurance payment for particular medication and then withhold the prescription from me until I forkes over an additional lump sum of money that was not in my copay. Keep in mind that this was an essential medication that I needed for breathing. I was so appalled that I decided not to go back there again. I could afford the overcharge but what about the next customer who could not? It's perfectly legit if a pharmacy doesn't want to participate in an insurance program, but to tell the government that they do and then withhold medication from the customer is unacceptable. Just be honest and straightforward. Say that you don't participate in a particular insurance and quote the person the full price. 4. While the staff add to register tend to be professional, voicemails that are sent out for medication pick up are obnoxious. It typically sounds like a woman yelling into the phone in an annoying voice that you must come get your prescription. In all of my phone correspondence with Thriftway Pharmacy, I don't think I've ever heard a please or thank you. In-person customer service is a mixed bag there.

The pharmacist is so loving, kind and considerate. She advises well and feels almost like a doctor! Lol she always asks about my mom and genuinely concerned. Her staff is just as nice as well. I feel like family when I come and still come a long distance to fill prescriptions since I moved out of the area to take care of my mom. My job has pressured me the last 3 years to switch to the larger chains like cvs. But I’m sticking with them! ?

One of the best pharmacies in Brooklyn. I feel like family every time I come in. My pharmaceutical needs are always met. I get expert consultations with my medication and advised on any potential conflicts. Gonna miss them when I move away!

This pharmacy is ok. Very close to my house. Don't like the fact you have to pay for fax but I guess it is what it is. Love the fact you buy stamps there instead of going to the post office
