Wow, I am SO grateful for Robert and his team from Top Hat movers. This is my third time hiring them for a job that involved heavy furniture and stairs - worth every penny!!
This afternoon I was dismayed when my old sofa couldn’t fit on the elevator of my 8th floor building. Luckily I called Robert and within an hour he had booked two guys to come by later in the evening. From chatting with him to texting photos to working with his team, everything was professional and respectful. The guys even stayed to help assemble my new sofa! Not a single scratch on the walls - they carried the sofa as if it were a feather.
I am so relieved to have this all taken care of. Thank you Robert and Top Hat Movers! Highly recommend! A++++++++

Everyone is kind and respectful. Robert takes his time beforehand and after to make sure everything goes well, very personal. He considers all the details, supervises everything closely, and prioritizes safety & communication. They came recommended by friends and met the expectation.

We've used Top Hat for a few moves now, and they're the best! Robert and his team are super responsive, helpful, efficient, and humane (they try to work with you on price, and are generally really fun to be around, which is a nice perk.) Most recently, they moved us from an elevator building to a walk-up and they were so efficient and safe! They also were really generous with their packing materials beforehand, giving us a better deal than other packing companies we'd gotten quotes from. I recommend Top Hat to everyone I know, and don't want to use any other movers!

Robert and his team did a great job with my move. He was really on top of communication, very clear about what information he needed from me and thorough in asking what I'd need from the team. Especially coming from out of state - Robert knows the details of New York and that was a huge help for me. Good people.

Professional, personable, thoughtful and really took care with my belongings.

We have used Top Hat twice.Robert and his team did a tremendous job for us coordinating a big tricky move from NYC up to the Hudson Valley in the middle of winter We were very stressed about the process but were very well taken care of. They executed a difficult project with professionalism and great respect. Highly recommended!

Robert and his Top Hat movers were experts who helped make a hectic day much easier with their professionalism and hard work. Robert was very up front and communicative regarding costs and expectations before the move, and his team moved me and my partner out of two third-floor walk-ups into a fourth floor walk-up in about six hours. Nothing broken, everything handled with care.

Robert and his crew are wonderful! Robert was super clear and communicative before the move, and even reached out to my super to get information for the certificate of insurance. The movers got everything into my fourth floor walk-up quickly and carefully. I would strongly recommend Top Hat!

Incredible movers!! They made the process so easy. Very efficient, friendly, and able to handle miscellaneous challenges. Got all our furniture up to our new 4th story walk up with no problems! & even helped me deconstruct and rebuild my ikea bed, which I didn’t think was possible. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Robert and his team were amazing. I had to hire them twice within two weeks. The first move was from 4 floor walkup into storage, and the second was from storage into my apartment. We had a lot of boxes/furniture and last minute changes where we couldn't move into our place right away per original plan. Robert came to the rescue and went above and beyond to help find us a storage space and even negotiate a deal on our behalf. Robert hires a large team for his job which means your move is fast and efficient. Hands down Top Hat Movers for any future moves!

I used Top Hat for a move 6 years ago and had a great experience, so decided to use them again. Robert was very responsive and thorough in making sure he'd gathered all the relevant details before the move. The day before, he drove to the street I was moving from and also the street where I was moving to, to investigate the parking situation, including looking at various street signs about parking restrictions. The actual moving day went very smoothly. The crew was super friendly, efficient, and careful. I would 100% use Top Hat again.
