As I was literally approaching the building, I received a call informing me that the truck I had reserved a few days earlier was unavailable. Instead, I had to travel to another location to pick up a larger truck. This involved taking an Uber from my house to the first U-Haul location, then to another U-Haul location to pick up the truck. Meanwhile, the movers I hired were waiting at my house because the reserved truck was not available. I lost an hour with the movers, for which I had to pay, in addition to the cost of the Uber rides. In return, U-Haul compensated me $50, which is $176 less than what I lost on the movers and Uber rides. This is unacceptable, and I will not use U-Haul in the future. I will also advise others against using U-Haul. The woman on duty at the location seemed to have cared less.

This is about the Ave D location -- Guishan -- Pretty interesting spot. When you enter, there are all these ice cream trucks in a row --it gets you in the mood for a Mr. Softee cone.Rented here twice so far, pretty efficient operation. They open up promptly at 9:00 am. Provided the vehicle and accessories I reserved.They send a link to your phone to capture your license info --takes 1 minute and then you're out.The cost for cross-town use of their vehicle is pretty reasonable.I will continue to do business with them.
