Calling into this Walgreens is extremely frustrating. I waited over 20 minutes with no answer, just constant hold music. At one point it even sounded like someone picked up, only to put me right back on hold. Eventually, the recording said “we are temporarily busy, please call again later” and disconnected the call.
It seems like they really need more staff to handle the call volume, because getting through to someone shouldn’t be this difficult.

I want to thank the Walgreens pharmacy team at 379 Myrtle Avenue for their amazing care and support. As a caregiver for my mother, they have made everything easier especially with her many medication changes and refills.
They always double-check, correct any issues, and make sure my mother’s prescriptions are right. Their kindness, patience, and attention truly make a difference. They ask about her health and treat us like family. Each team pharmacist is amazing to my mom makes my heart melt

Oh my god this place is the worst. The staff definitely tries hard but it’s impossible to get them on. The phone line is always super long. I don’t think it’s the staff’s fault. I just think the systems need a total revamp.

Tons of “system” issues finding prescriptions combine with a low morale, uncaring staff make this pharmacy one to avoid. You will find many far kinder and efficient local pharmacies in the neighborhood.

The pharmacy wouldn’t let me explain to them what the situation was and kept putting me on hold. They told me I didn’t have insurance pre authorization and that I was calling the wrong store because I had never been there - they didn’t let me explain I was traveling. I called my doctor who said my pre authorization was for a year, called back the pharmacy and they again said I was calling the wrong location and when I tried to get a word in they just said - it would be ready on Monday. Seriously, worst customer service ever.

The pharmacy is excellent and is very attentive to our needs. They are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and kind. Sometimes it is very busy. I do not mind the wait in line because of the service.
They always have our medication. In addition, they are proactive in making sure the providers update the prescription refills we use so that we are never without.

They are not organized, always with an attitude if you asked them something. Getting photos printed same day is impossible with them.

I know many of the past reviews for this location are negative, but my husband and I couldn’t have had a better experience - (with the pharmacy, anyway) recently to get prescriptions and today to get our Covid/Flu shots. Very efficient, friendly, warm, and professional. Thank you!!

I have a prescription issue and I was put on hold for 45 mins and then hung up on, followed by 20 minutes and then hung up on. I will definitely be moving my prescriptions to a different pharmacy.

I’m not sure why other reviewers felt so strongly negative about this pharmacy. I’ve been coming to this Walgreens for months for everyday items and finally filled two rx’s and everything was smooth. Multiple pharmacy employees were helpful/kind and talked me through the best options. The only negative was the line (15 mins) but it was a Saturday morning so that seems normal. Overall, great experience.

The pharmacy here is truly a circle of hell. Whatever effort is required to change your rx to another pharmacy or a delivery service will be well worth your time.

Covid tests 2x to 3x the price of Amazon and Target. $24 for 2 tests. Tests on Amazon cost $7 each. Tests at target are $8 each. Crazy that drugstore is ripping people off for an essential Covid items. Especially for a pharmacy that serves lots of NYCHA residents.
