Everything is good like others mentioned. One thing really important: watch out for one of the bathroom door. It opened out. There will be a chance you may get hit. My feet were hit when someone open the bathroom door. And it was really dark.

Weylin is one of those gorgeous former-bank-turned-venues with extremely high ceilings similar to Capitale (now closed) + Cipriani 42nd St. Formerly the Williamsburg Savings Bank and later a HSBC bank, it had a 3+ year restoration and opened in 2014 as a wedding venue. There's simply tons of architectural detail and space to work with here for weddings + events up to about 450 guests (seated). They also have a small parking lot on S 5th St. (Not the one on Driggs Ave!). Loved the wedding I shot here last year!
Note: do make sure that if/when you hire a photographer for this venue to make sure they're GREAT at the evening photos as you can't bounce light with the high ceilings! Ask for galleries!

The Weylin is a true masterpiece, blending the grandeur of Brooklyn’s history with the charm and elegance of a modern wedding venue. Once a bustling bank, this stunning space has been transformed into a venue that feels timeless yet perfectly suited for today’s most beautiful celebrations.
Stepping into The Weylin is like walking back in time, with original vaulted ceilings, marble columns, and intricate mosaics that remind you of the building’s rich heritage. The restoration work is impeccable—every detail, from the ornate domed ceiling to the sweeping ballroom floors, speaks to a respect for its history and a passion for elegance.
As a wedding venue, it’s unmatched. The architecture lends itself to incredible photo opportunities, and the space flows seamlessly from one area to the next, allowing for creative and unique setups. Guests are immediately captivated by the beauty, making it easy to settle into an atmosphere that feels both elevated and welcoming.
What’s even more special is the sense of history within those walls. The Weylin combines old-world elegance with a modern sophistication, providing a setting where a couple’s big day feels monumental in every sense. Whether for a wedding, milestone event, or any significant celebration, The Weylin is more than just a venue—it’s an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
For those looking to create memories in a space that’s as grand as it is intimate, The Weylin is truly one of a kind.

Amazing authentic landmark used for weddings and venues. The management team is great and so is the staff and security that's not Stone.

I photographed a wedding at Weylin in July 2024, and I’d like to share my impression of working at this venue from the perspective of a wedding photographer.
Pros: The atmosphere is fantastic and unique, thanks to the venue being located in a historic building with incredibly high ceilings and a dome. Shooting a wedding here was a distinctive experience, unlike any other wedding I’ve had the chance to photograph.
Cons: The rooms for the bride’s and groom’s getting ready photos are very small. Even with a wide-angle lens (such as 16-35mm), there isn’t enough space. There’s also very little natural light, so the entire wedding needs to be photographed with either a flash or constant lighting. Flash use is limited to direct, as there’s nothing above to bounce light off, which affects the final result. Some people like direct flash, so in that case, this wouldn’t be a downside.
Overall, the photos turn out beautifully, but for an inexperienced photographer, working at this venue may be challenging due to the lighting conditions and the small rooms.
