I want to report group of employees and his friends outside smoking pot on company hours. I entered the store and the smell was immediately noticed. I started to comment loudly so anyone in the vicinity could hear me. The odor got stronger as I walked passed the cooler where the drinks to the dairy was kept. The smell gagged me. I quickly grabbed what I needed. I headed to check out. Where I caught the attention of people in front of me and stated the pot smell was so strong it was gagging. The guy in front of me acknowledged it. He also admitted he smoked it. I stated people need to do that at home not in public. I also looked at the cashier and said I was reporting it. He was one the ones smoking plus one of the girls working there. Since when is this allowed. The overall cleanliness of the store is appalling. I know they do not wash their hands. They handle our groceries. I used self check out. I was verbally attacked outside. My husband witnessed the whole thing. We will be seeing the manager. I will not shop in that store. I will warn everyone.

Cashiers are never really anywhere to be found during checkout and the shelves are in disarray most of the time ,there is no milk or bread alot of the time .But it's the only local store in cadyville so I will continue to go there . Parking lot looks worse than the local dump with trash blowing around the store and never being cleaned up.

Here's a fun fact about Dollar General: they specifically choose low income and poor communities to build new locations, it's not at all a sign of your area "developing," it's a diagnosis that your community is poor and about to be leeched off of by this chain. There is no excuse as to why they have dedicated row after row of refrigerated coolers for beer, but they can't dedicate even one rack to fresh produce (FRESH produce is not FROZEN). This directly contributes to the "food deserts" found in every poor community across America. The only thing you "save" by shopping at one of these stores is time that would be spent driving "into town," but I assure you, it's worth the extra miles to get the actual low prices at Aldi's or Walmart. Dollar stores prey on low income families. The only time prices are "lower" is because the portion is also lower. What would cost $3 for 16 ounces at Walmart is "conveniently only $2.75" at DG because you're also only getting 12 ounces (less product). It's important to pay attention to these marketing and packaging ploys, but for low income families there is no other "choice." That's why they're leeches. This specific location is like any other. You have a problem that you bring up to a manager and it's blamed on the employee being "new" or you're told "what do you want me to do about it?" I don't know, maybe your job as manager should be correcting issues and addressing your customers with dignity and respect? These stores are a plight on our communities. They are the rash that inevitably comes before the fever.

I had problems with this stor e a couple of years ago at a location in Rouses Point, N.Y. I thought it was an isolated incident. Nope. Dollar General employs arrogant, rude people that do not deserve a job in this type of business. The worst offenders seem to be the managers.

This place is mediocre. Too much stuff cramped into the store. It's every store not just this store. The manager here is miserable. I've seen him treat staff poorly.

Cadyville Dollar General definitely outweighs any of our other local DG stores. They are bigger with a lot more to offer and needless to say cleaner.
