Dr.Procopio is apsolutely wretched an laughs at what he doesn't understand . I had to switch to another doctor . I came to him extremely uneasy and upset because I've been sick for years with no awnsers . And he laughed in my face with his assistant because he couldn't find anything wrong an I had addressed how I knew something was wrong because I'm in pain everyday.

Im going on 39. Patient there since i was a toddler.I owed $589 from 3-4 office visits because my employers group health provider changed. They sent a letter with no notice ‘releasing’ me from the office. Zero warning. I would never go back if they paid me to come. The moral, ethical and professional behavior and their ‘policies’ are in the interest of money only clearly. What they did to me by booting me from the office when- when I live literally 4 miles away from- is a text book example of why healthcare is trash. My doctor who treated me since i was a toddler retired about 10 years ago- so they stuck me with a nurse practitioner- i dont go to the doctor alot, maybe once every other year- then did the same thing when she left 4-5 years ago. For me, my perception and experience with this office, is solely to the benefit of themselves- not patients. The 22 year old girls that answer the phones and do their data entry at the front desk are mean and unprofessional- probably related to the doctors. For the 5 or less times ive actually called on their office for some unforeseen issues within the last 5-6 years, my experience was horrendous- all they see is dollars. Find another office. Dont go there because its convenient.

they said they were taking new patients and got all my medical information and said they would call me back and when they called me back they say they would not take me for a patient. I don't have any medical conditions.

I'm almost 60 and have been going here since my mid 20's, I think the front staff, nurses and doctors are incredible. It's true that you often have to wait but that's because the doctors take as much time with you as you need. They answer all questions and are knowledgeable and kind. My messages and calls are returned in a timely manner and test results are given as soon as they get them. When Dr. Page has to sent me to a specialist, that doctor has always been wonderful too. It's a practice that goes above and beyond for its patients. In fact when we moved an hour away from Camillus, we decided to continue with this practice and drive an hour to keep our appointments. I can't say enough positive things about this practice, they truly feel like a partner in my journey to good health.

It is very difficult for me to trust doctors because I have had my share of misdiagnoses and unprofessionalism. Dr. Procopio is the gold standard when it come to patient care. He really listens to me and doesn’t make me feel like I am a burden. Whenever I ask a question I don’t feel like he is in a rush to leave the room. His bedside manner is excellent and he has an amazing attention to detail. I never felt like I couldn’t come to him about any of my medical issues.

They NEVER answer their phones, and when they do you’re on hold FOREVER! They also make you go in for office calls unnecessarily, and too often!

My husband and I have seen several doctors around the Syracuse area over many years. Dr. Procopio is by far the absolute best. We have been seeing him for several years now. He always takes the time to listen to us. We never feel rushed. He explains things well and has always been very thorough. His staff is kind and professional. We are very grateful that we have found Dr. Procopio. Highly recommend.

On March 3, I contacted this physicians' office because after reviewing both my partner and my insurance policies, this was one of the places that accepted both of our insurances. Our prior physician had closed their office in December, and I had been lax about finding somewhere new. I had a 15 minute phone conversation with a receptionist who confirmed they WERE accepting new patients, took both of our information including existing conditions, and said that since I did not have a specific physician in mind, she would put our information into a "rotation" and call us back to make appointments. On March 12, she returned my phone call to inform me that they were, in fact, not accepting new patients. I said okay and thanked her, but then made another phone call this morning with my number blocked, on March 13, and asked if they were accepting new patients who took our specific types of insurance. The person who answered the phone confirmed they are. I also checked both insurance websites again and found their office still listed as accepting new patients. This makes me have to wonder what this issue is. Do they get such high reviews because they simply refuse to see patients who have existing conditions? Because they refuse to see patients with certain types of insurance, but it can't be that, right, because they claim to accept those and be accepting patients? This leads me to believe that it's the former...they just don't want to see patients who need actual ongoing medical care because that might involve some effort or involvement. It's for the best, I guess. My partner left his previous practice and came to mine because it felt like a cattle run of medical care, and after this experience of being turned away for what feels like being "too sick", I'm guessing this place is very similar. For information's sake, I have COPD and Fibromyalgia, but the fibro is managed by another physician. He has high BP and Diabetes, but both are well managed with medication.

Stay far away from the doctors here. I had the most displeasuring experience with Dr. Matthew Procopio this evening at the Camillus location. I’ve been having severe nerve pain for over 2 weeks now, having been to urgent care, the ER, my chiropractor, a massage therapist, and waiting for a referral to spine and wellness for an MRI and nerve block. I went this evening as I will no longer have pain medication to manage my pain come the weekend, and still have another 2.5 weeks until the MRI for a nerve block. I’m unable to sleep at night therefore unable to perform at my job, and as a mother of 3yr old twins. I am already on 2 controlled medications, that legally through NYS I see a psychiatrist and psychologist for (for 4 years now), and I attend all necessary appointments to be in good mental health standing, and to meet legal abiding criteria per NYS. Dr. Procopio had the unprofessional audacity to advice me that my nerve pain was from mental health issues. I have no sensation from my elbow down to my wrist and fingers. I simply needed medical advice on pain management and was honest with all my medical history and dosing’s of the prescribed medications because IM IN PAIN, and I simply wanted an extension refill of the current medications the ER had prescribed to me to get me through to the MRI with nerve block. He sent me home with some worksheets for stretching. Perhaps it was a bad night for him, but the lasting impression he had on me, and how I now feel, I will never forget. Just remember we’re all humans, and that was truly unfair.

Dr Miller is wonderful but the rest of the staff is so rude... called to book an appointment about a sinus infection and told them I already tested negative for COVID and I frequently have sinus infections, so they booked me for 11:30. I show up and the front desk was so rude as per usual and told me I was at 11:15 (which is not what I had written down) and then told me I came in the wrong way and had to go in the side door (which I was never informed of either). That is all valid information to tell a patient, however they are always so rude about it!!! Thank god i'm switching PCPs already and never have to go back!

I have been a patient here for about 5 years. Over the last 18 months, the two times I've had issues for which I'd like to see my doctor (Alice Miller) have been nothing short of a circus. For one, UPDATE YOUR HOURS ON YOUR WEBSITE. It says they open at 8 on Fridays, but after I left a message for the on-call doctor and received a call back at 9, I expressed that I had been trying to get through for an hour and was rudely told they don't open til 9. When I explained that their website says 8 am, the doctor told me "No, No it doesn't" and continued to speak over me until I said that I was in fact looking at the website at the moment and the hours for Friday were 8-4:30. Second, last time I went there (after many back and forth phones during which an NP was trying to determine if my symptoms were enough to make me come in) I was told they would follow-up with me at the end of the week. I never received a follow-up call. Great patient care. I'll be using Crouse Medical Practice from now on.
