If you stop for fuel along the NY State Thruway, you'll be pleased with the service and selection at Chittenango Sunoco. Clean store, curtious attendants, and a wide variety of snacks and beverages. 5 stars!

*** BEWARE *** BAD GAS WARNING ***
I filled up my gas tank at the Chittenango Travel Plaza Sunoco station on Wednesday, May 17,2023 and received bad gas. The tow truck operator immediately knew it was bad gas because a lot of people have had a similar problem after filling up at the Sunoco at Chittenango Travel Plaza after the construction of the rest area.
I was towed to the Waterloo exit and was able to have a mechanic look at the car the following day. They drained the gas tank, cleaned the spark plugs, and even had to change the old and replace the filter. The mechanic confirmed that the source of the problem was definitely bad gas.

Pump just had gas pouring out of nozzle when lifted from the pump.
