“I've tried, their rotisserie chicken, mashed potato, and chicken pot pie. Everything tasted great, the rotisserie chicken was well seasoned with savory skin, and still juicy inside. Mashed potatoes came with a side of gravy. Chicken pot pie had a good chicken to veggie ratio, and it was kinda creamy (my favorite type). Would recommend!”

“Been living in the neighborhood for many years, and passed this meat market countless times. WHAT AN AWESOME STORE!!! I've gone 3 weeks in a row and have tried something different each time, and I have to say WOW from kielbasa, to there smoked bacons, fresh deli meats. On top of that the staff which appears to be all family are friendly, personable, knowledgeable. I will never go any place else for fresh made kielbasa, hotdogs, and there cured meats. You gotta try there different bacon. I felt the prices were so reasonable... what a find, so glad I found this place.”

“I recently visited Roslyn Kosher Food and had the best experience. The pullets that I bought were the best and most of all, everyone is so very accommodating. I asked Emily for a special request, and she graciously said it would not be a problem. The chickens were so clean and so fresh!. I also picked up some fresh chick pea salad. I've had this in other places, but this was the best! I will be a customer for life. My trip to the store is about 40 minutes one way but well worth it. Thank you Roslyn Kosher Food!”

“We were pleasantly surprised to hear the Kababjees ownership acquired Aladin, the local confusing combination of a butcher and restaurant. With the introduction of a new menu came Shanghai Express, a Hakka-style basket of offerings within the menu selection. We ordered the classics that would take us across sweet, salty and both. The General Tso had the sweetness one would come to expect from the typically sweet & spicy dish, both chillies and sweet sauce served us well over the steamed rice. Despite being our favorite dish, the General Tso left a lot to be desired on the spicy side of the equation; the larger Desi community that frequents Hicksville eateries would agree. Going to the Sesame Chicken took us down candy lane, offering an overwhelmingly sweet dish many of us only picked up once. The old-as-time Chicken Manchurian visually presented itself as the most balanced and classical dish, yet suffered from the classic Desi-chinese issue of being oversalted. We looked for the best in the categories we were craving and we got what we wanted, but there's room for improvement. Considering the Shanghai Express menu is cooked fresh to order and is in it's infancy, there's already too much to like as-is to not be tempted for a revisit. Once the Aladin team hones in on it's flavor profiles, this will be the best Chinese spot east of Queens by miles.”

“I came here for fresh meats based off a recommendation from a friend and now I can't live without this place! I ordered a pork shoulder (pernil) and asked them to season it. They season it soooo well that my Latino friends think I made it. The fresh scent of seasonings permeated through my car on the ride home, and that's when I knew I would be a returning customer! Thus, all you have to do it pop it in the oven! Ive also had their marinated chicken (raw) and I just cooked it in the air fryer. If you are looking for a quality butcher and are "street savy" enough to go to Hempstead, this is the place. They also sell oxtails, ribs, pig feet (if that's what you are into) and fresh thick bacon.”
