I came into the store right before closing as a newly “classroom fish” owner and had no idea what i was doing or what I need. I also have worked in retail for over 15+ years and was beyond impressed with the service and help i received from the associate JERSON. Just WOW - he was helpful from beginning to end and made sure I knew all the products he was suggesting as well as how to use them and when to maintenance them. He stayed with me from beginning to end and made what could have been a hectic shopping experience fun and rewarding. Highly recommend this petco and very specifically requesting service from the associate, Jerson. This will certainly be my go to location!

After all this time, I finally found a Petco with exceptional service. Guess I had to leave NYC and visit Long Island to get good ole fashioned customer service that has been lacking for a very long time in the city locations. There were actually 3 employees who went above and beyond. They were John, Jessie and Sherell. Great experience guys and I will definitely be back.

The employees here are super kind, helpful and informative. I got way better customer service here than any other petco/petsmart that I’ve been to in the past. Will 100% be visiting again even though this is not my local petco just because of the pleasant experience I had. I hope it’s just as great next time!

These ppl gave my baby a rash on his chest. I'm taking him to the vet. I hope its not ringworm. All I wanted to do is get him groomed and sneaking groomed. Nothing, but a big headache, and possible vet bill. Do you guys clean in between grooming each dog? Do you clean the holding kennel that they wait it in until it's their turn to get groomed?
Update.. since the second grooming, he's still shedding like crazy as if he was not groomed at all, also I notice his chest area has thinning hair. It was not like this before ? I also found some bumps under is front legs and same area of tge chest. He's also not eating as well as before. I don't know what these ppl did to my baby, but I didn't have this experience the first time around.
The first groom he was in better spirits, his coat was properly dried, fluffy, soft, and shiny! He smelled so good. This groom his coat was still damp, coat looked dry, dull, and he was still shedding like crazy. Also I know Katelyn shaved his coat instead of properly deshedding him. His coat was shorter and less fluffy. I made it clear that I didn't want his coat cut at all. That is not thr proper way to deshedd a dog's coat, you ruin his coat this way. I'm thinking of taking some action against this store.
What's interesting was that the groomer said I should rebook with her before she heads off to grooming school/academy. Had I known she didn't have formal training, I wouldn't have let her touch my baby. Miss K doesn't have enough experience and I don't appreciate my baby being practiced on. Paying almost $150 with tip, having a 3 hour wait, and spending almost 2 hour commute back and forth for his bad grooming really upset me. The fact that he's not doing the greatest either after the fact really upsets.
Update...not happy with the response. I wish I could get my money back. There is hair flying all over my house. Evert time my pup rubs against me, my clothes are covered in fur. It's like I never even had him groomed. He just smells better. Also I noticed his coat was not as fluffy as the first groom and his teeth didn't looked like they were brushed. I miss Lars. He did a great job on my boy for his first groom.
Disappointed. 1st time grooming was great. No hair coming off of my pup afterwards. This time he came out with his coat looking dull and hair flying off of him. I brushed him as soon as I got in and this is what I got in the his brush ? tumble weeds. And I always give a good tip. Even my family and neighbors asked what happened. Mind you I paid for the deshedding add-on. Wasted time and money. Please stop over booking the groomers, they would do a better job if they had more time. They looked stressed today.

The vet clinic is very convenient if you are needing vaccinations for your dog or cat. The prices are also very good compared to a veterinary office.

From the moment I walked into this Petco the grooming employees gave me an attitude like I was inconveniencing them. My dog is a 7 year old service animal that has a slight limp when he walks. When I went to check him in for his appointment they asked why he walks funny and I told them it was a genetic condition that he was born with. At that point they refused to groom him, citing that Petco policy is not to accept dogs with disabilities. He has been groomed at other Petco locations for many years in which I have been a loyal customer spending thousands of dollars. The manager Sofie was extremely rude, had zero empathy and made comments about my dog like she was a veterinarian. I was blown away by the way that me and my dog were treated, especially since he is so sweet and well behaved. This felt like something that should be reported to a news outlet if Petco policy is to discriminate against dogs with disabilities. Stay far away from this location…

This is not the closest Petco near me but it's the best one around. The groomers are friendly and always greets my pup with a smile using his name. The cashier and manager is pleasant and try to be helpful everytime I go in. What more can you ask for?
