Quest has a solid, organized, pretty easy to use online system for scheduling appointments for specific blood work necessities. The Quest Center in Carmel NY where I go has been very efficient and the staff are quite friendly and patient. The results are reported within a day or two and all seems well. Then, you might have to speak to someone for an answer. Good luck with that. Perfection is not yet Quest's. Calling them to rectify 'issues' with billing is without being dramatic, a mini nightmare. I was sent in a 'telephone tag' circle, being redirected from one person to another (total of 4 calls) to get a billing issue resolved....to no avail. Everyone I spoke to at Quest had a different idea of who could settle a simple billing issue. At the end, I gave up to resolve it through the a credit card dispute where I made my case in writing to address the issue. I give Quest four stars for the overall experience....but try to get it right on your own Before there's a problem, because outside of clinic area, they don't seem to know which end is up.

At first the worker was very rude and not accepting my walk in and told me to leave.

It was easy to schedule the appointment with a phone call and I did not wait for my lab work. Because I used an in network lab I did not have a co pay. The facility was clean and convenient for me to access. the check in was at a kiosk that was easy to use. the experience was fast and easy and results were sent in a timely manner.

DO NOT USE QUEST
I Had STAT blood work done on 7/3 at 8am. STAT means without delay : immediately. My doctor was concerned about toxicity. I tried to get the results all day and just got the run around. The blood didn't arrive to the lab until 4pm, that's 8hrs later. They kept sending me lab results to download but there were no results on it. And then someone put me on hold until they closed and I was disconnected. They were closed for the Holiday and the weekend. So. STAT blood work on 7/3 and then not opened until 7/8. I think it's safe to assume that they lost it. I had to go to ER to have it drawn. Extremely unprofessional and difficult company to deal with. I'm going back to LabCorp, they didn't have an appointment this time, and I've never had an issue with them.
The only bright note was the women who took my blood, she was great and none one of this was her fault. I'm a retired nurse with a lot of contacts, I'm telling everyone I know to stay away from and don't suggest Quest.

I have, without exception, always found going to quest labs for a blood draw or urinalysis terrific experience. The operation is very well run, but may be more important, the people who staff the labs are really wonderful.

While our world gets more digitized with check in, scheduling, and billing, the staff at Quest Diagnostics (Carmel Barns location) are incredible at treating each patient with dignity, patience, and genuine care.

I had one of the regular techs and she said that they have floaters now and then. The floaters gave me problems with the scripts from my doctor of 30 years, and they were rude. The regular techs that are always there are very nice.

phlebotomist was extremely efficient at combining the tests so that there were a few less tubes as the lab order was very large, she was very good at her job..highly recommend Quest

Waited for an hour only to be told “you weren’t registered You should have gone to talk to somebody.” What?? There is no easy way to talk to anyone, there are just 2 technicians with patients in rooms. Get a receptionist or spdll things out more clearly with signs!! Newbies are confused.

The phlebotomist who drew my blood was excellent-no pain and no hematoma, even though I am on blood thinners. The waiting room has chairs spaced out and I was called early for my appointment. An appointment was easy to get.
