Sal built a custom iron railing on a steep slope to our lakefront. His work is excellent. The result not only looks great it is sturdy and perfectly placed. Sal is very personable and easy to work with. We will be having him back in the Spring to do more work.

We needed rails for the new front entry steps. Sal was punctual and was very easy to work with. Gave us options and recommendations. From concept to installation everything went well and in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend.

We hired Sal recently to build a railing for the stairwell in our condo. What we got was a piece of art that functions as a railing. It is beautiful as well as sturdy.

from Catskill Ironwork install a railing on my front porch. He is a master craftsman and his work is exceptional and such high quality. It was a very easy experience doing business with Sal. He was totally reliable, gave a fair price, showed up when he said he would and gave recommendations that added so much visual appeal to front of my house. I would recommend his work to anyone.

Catskill Ironworks does an amazing job with custom welding projects. The owner’s creativity and attention to detail is spectacular, he is truly a fine craftsman. Whether you need some thing in a commercial or residential capacity, Sal has you covered, I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my iron work.

This is a tough review. Why you ask? Because the work, when it actually gets done, is beautiful. But the owner, has an attitude problem which is legendary. He jumps to anger, and you cannot get a word in --and me saying that is really classic. Never timely, truly rude, but---he produces beautiful railings. If you can put up with cretin behaviour--hire him. But don't expect timely completion of a job or professional behaviour---and wear ear plugs. That will keep eardrums in tack and lower blood pressure

Ordered railing for front deck. Waited 7 months after 4,000 deposit on 9000 railing. Railing came in one section at a time with sloppy paint job. Said he would touch up in the end. completed paid in full. Finishing issues with paint brought to his attention. Staff member was sent second time, tried to address and actually made things worse.Unprimed, unpainted welds. Used different color paint second touch up. Over spray on wood steps Very sloppy job. Slapped together damaged deck installing railing. Need to call carpenter. welds Not cleaned. Need to call professional painter to scrape rust and paint on new 9,000 railing. I didn’t want to experience a third touch up. CAUTION moving forward with this company.
