My experience at Getaway Eastern Catskills was a mix of positives and negatives. The check-in and check-out process were hassle-free, which was great. The location of my cabin was lovely, offering a nice atmosphere. However, there were some drawbacks. The utensils provided in the cabin were a bit sticky, though this was manageable with a quick wash. Unfortunately, the cabin I stayed in had a broken window, patched with tape, which took away from the overall experience. These cabins are known for their Instagram-worthy appeal, but the broken window made it less enjoyable for me and affected the ambiance. I didn't take many photos because of this. Unsure if I would revisit or recommend to a friend based on this experience.

A true getaway from the city!
My partner and I loved our stay here. The cabins are nestled between gorgeous pines & have all your basic needs covered.
The cabin was the perfect size for the two of us. We initially booked two nights, and stayed an extra night to enjoy the quiet woods, fireside eating, and the nearby hiking.
There are so many trails just a short drive away. It felt nice to come back to our cozy cabin and have a hot shower after spending the day outdoors.
Definitely recommend bringing an iron skillet or anything else you need to cook by fire.
Wonderful experience. We look forward to returning.
Nearby activities: Near Katerskill Falls, North-South Lake, and many other hiking trails. Windham Mountain, Mine Kill, & Elm Ridge are a beautiful scenic drive away.
Food & drinks: Expect your basic needs covered and a nice grocery nearby to stock up on extras.
The cabin included 2 1L boxes of water, salt & pepper, olive oil in packets, sugar/sweeteners, packs of teas & coffee, and a s’more’s kit.
We brought our own seasonings & ingredients for breakfast + snacks as well as more water + beverage options.
Also, there are lovely restaurants nearby to try like Julia’s Local & the Yellow Deli.

Had an amazing time here! About a 3hr drive from nyc and we loved that they allow pets (for a fee of course)!!

This was the best getaway for my boyfriends birthday. We loved it and special thank you to the staff for hanging up a “happy birthday” banner before our arrival! Perfect can’t wait to stay here again

AMAZING ! living in crazy loud all over the place MANHATTAN... this place is so quiet . Like a movie . I am soooo coming back here
Nearby activities: If you don't want to cook or want to bring food with you, there are local diners nearby
Safety: We was very safe in our cabin
Walkability: Walking around here is the best part of being here. Unless it rains
Food & drinks: Please bring water , food if you don't plan on leaving the cabin area

We had such a cozy and relaxing stay. The check-in process was smooth, the cabin (Beatrice) was clean and has everything you need for a short stay. This is the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with nature.Thank you Getaway ! ?

We had a little family trip with a toddler for 2 nights and got a bunk bed. It was an amazing experience. The location is very convenient as a launch pad to go to a lot of towns nearby but tucked away quietly. The cabin was clean, well stocked with everything you need and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The communication was easy and quick. We got lucky with the beautiful fall scenes! Will definitely come back. One complaint is we saw a few bugs but they were not harmful and easy to get rid of. Also the Wi-Fi could be more stable.

Cabins are MUCH CLOSER together than anticipated. Very expensive for a glamping type experience.
