I want to thank the bakery at Catskill Price Chopper for making the Coxsackie Senior Halloween cake for our meeting refreshment. I ordered the specifics when it came to the cake itself but gave the bakery a free hand at decorating. I was happily surprised and so were our members. Price chopper is our go to place for cakes on those special occasions. Thank you!

This place might have a smaller selection in most grocery stores, but I will say that they had a great produce section and had a nice head of iceberg lettuce when nobody else in the area did. The selection was pretty much typical of most grocery stores, but seemed a little bit cleaner and well maintained for the area that has a lot of competition as far as grocery stores go considering there’s a Walmart right across the street, which was a little subpar as far as the produce section the self check was a little wonky when it came to checking out, but the staff is eagerly there to help you resolve the problem.

Love any place that has raw dog bones. He even cut them up for my girl 🐾🐾😊. Ty! Good prices. Friendly staff.

So back when I was a cashier for Price Chopper in the 80 s. 1 shift leader could supervise 17 cashiers, 17 service clerks, 2 lot cart people and 2 employees on the bottle register. Now, 1 front end employee can only supervise 4 self checkouts? The front end today at 3:00pm was out of control! Lines from the registers went halfway down the isles. We left our cart of groceries at the front end and walked out frustrated…

Delicatessen help was polite and very helpful. The seafood man was the complete opposite rude and very impolite. The checkout girl at the register was super nice and encouraging about my future visits to Price Chopper. She helped get processed for shopping card. She also Tha ked me for my choice if shopping at Price Chopper.

I ordered a cake about a month ago for pick up at Catskill Ny. I ordered a rainbow pullpart cupcake cake with my child's name on it for a happy 6th bday. I went in on 5/22 to pick it up. When I got there it was nothing I ordered. When asked they said that their spray machine was broken and he put sprinkles on it and they were all individual not a pull apart. I was beyond mad. They could have called and told me it was down and asked if there was something else I wanted but failed to do so. This was not the manager of the bakery but A younger guy. The manager came right out and said I dont know why when they have been told to always check that this happened. I then went up to customer service and spoke to Collen Corin. She not only took care of the problem ,she went into Newburg to pick up the cake for me that she personally placed a order for me. I needed the cake by 10am today and she had it there by 8. I can not tell you how happy I was. Collen I know for a fact has been with Catskill a very long time and I personally have seen her go over and beyond for customers and employees. She absolutely one of the best employees pc has going for them.

They really need to do a better job about not selling expired food. Tonight I saw peanut butter cups from the Niagara brand on clearance and they were expired. They expired in 2023. They must know it's expired if they offer it on clearance. You shouldn't be selling expired food period. I also like these teriyaki noodles over by the organic fruits section and the last several times I went there the same expired ones were there. I'm about to throw them out myself! I like those and I want to buy them, but I don't buy expired food. I checked the price chopper in saugerties and those ones were not expired. It just goes to show you how much they care. People do not want to waste money on expired food!!! I bet people go there all the time and buy stuff that is already expired. It's just pure laziness. And the deli people always slice the pre packaged deli cheese very thick and all the packages are the same price. Some people want a smaller amount and don't need $8 of cheese. Other stores like adams and hannaford have various sized packages and they are thinly sliced. Not super thick constantly. Do better price chopper. The competition is making you look like chumps.

The sales are usually good, but overall prices tend to be high and expire soon. Go to Walmart, at least u get more for your dollar.

Like most Price Choppers, this one is poorly run. A lot of produce cases were empty, some produce was just terrible (I picked up kale that was yellow on one side to find it was rotting on the other). The grocery aisles are fine but on the expensive side. Seems like at night only self-checkout is open.

Continued review :Having already been in the store for an hour and a half I ended up just getting the scannable items and leaving my entire bag of fresh produce that I picked out at the counter. I have never been treated so poorly with such contempt in blatant discrimination in my entire life I have a job and education. I am a good person and as a mother who is trying to provide healthy food choice options for her young children. I should not be made to feel like I am an inconvenience, a bother, or a customer who is made to feel less than other shoppers. My business and my families hard earned money can, and will be happily going to shop at Hannaford, where I can be treated with respect and kindness. I have never felt more worthless and pathetic and ashamed in my entire life all because I’m just trying to provide healthy food for my family. This store is in desperate need of immediate training on how to treat a customer and working customer service, and frankly how to be a better human being in general. I will NEVER shop there again
