I have been a client and boarder here for almost three years. I have a background working as an FEI groom and have ridden with and worked for some big names in the industry in my past.Kim's program is amenable to a myriad of riders and horse owners--- no matter your goals, ambitions, restraints or background, Kim values all of her clients with a professionalism and finesse that has helped me come in to my own as a working professional who wants to have a successful equestrian hobby and activity.

The owner is very rude and unprofessional. Would never go there again!

This a superbly run and meticulously maintained riding and boarding facility. We just began riding lessons and the staff, horses and barns are fantastic. Our instructor Erin is excellent. Patient, knowledgeable, engaged and complimentary even when we screw up. Highly recommend for anyone entering equestrian riding.

Owner has a terribly snobby and disrespectful attitude. Her husband is a rich lawyer and everyone is petty to her royal being.

The owner of this business embarrassed by wife in front of my two children and her staff…. over a riding helmet. I’ve never seen such unprofessional behavior from a business owner. They treat their horses better than their paying customers. We have never been back.

Canterbury Stables continues to exceed my wildest expectations as a veterinarian and horse owner. Their commitment to horse care and safety, rider education, and meeting the individualized needs of each horse and owner is unparalleled. Nancy, Kim, and the entire staff genuinely care about my horse's well being and go above and beyond to offer exemplary communication and services. The facility is unlike any other in Central New York; 3 arenas of state of the art dust free footing, hay feedings 5 times daily, radiant heated floors, and the ONLY electronic lesson horse."Wizard" - the electronic lesson horse lets me continue to develop and hone my effective and correct use of aides. By offering all of the dressage movements through Grand Prix (as well as stadium and cross country jumping!) I can appreciate and experience these movements on Wizard, then take those aides to my actual horse in the arena. My trainer is able to make instantaneous adjustments in my position and aides by standing next to me every stride while I ride Wizard. The feedback Wizard provides via the many sensors under the saddle, rider legs, bridle, and seat-bones allow me to track my adjustments in aides and ride more effectively, from one stride to the next. I have never experienced such an educational tool, and its effect on my rider effectiveness is indescribable.Thank you for continuing to exceed my wildest expectations, support me as I pursue my goals as an equestrian and horse owner, and keep my horse safe and happy.

My daughter has been riding for 3 years at Canterbury and we cannot say enough about it. The staff is extremely professional, instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and understand each of their riders, guiding lessons accordingly. They are family orientated offering numerous family friendly events throughout the year. The Pony Camp offered over the summer is a great way for children to learn more about horses and exposure to riding. Phenomenal!!

I feel extremely fortunate to have access to this stable. Their lesson program is exceptional in the quality of both instructors and horses. The atmosphere is very welcoming and positive. I am so grateful to be able to ride here regularly and look forward to my children learning to ride in such a competent and supportive environment. I absolutely love Canterbury Stables and strongly recommend them without reservation.
