What does this place actually DO? They cant help you find rentals, cant help you with rent to own, they cant help you with section 8 if you make 30k a year, what a joke of a non profit and website. Its one of those organizations that are "just for show", they don't help first time home buyers, or low income families, they will literally just email you back with information that you can find on google. Just save your time and energy.

Horrible organization. Contacted them in regards to them perpertrating welfare fraud with one of there rental subsidies selling drugs, room rentals, and noise ordinances. They did an amature and incompetent investigation with no resolution to issue. dont let any CDC long island renter next to you. They will destroy your street and community.

Well, I usually don't write reviews but I have to say that CDCLI was a blessing to me and my family. Every one of their staff answered all of my questions with courtesy and patience (I always have tons of questions). Thanks for all your help!!

Simply awful! Atleast the people I have spoken to. Each person tells you a different story. Then they threaten you you will lose your voucher after doing what they say. Landlord has a big responsibility also, and, although they pay your rent, they take the landlord side. I now am going above their heads. They hang up on you. Yell at you very unprofessional. ALot of people on sec8 have a disability. And they treat you horrible. What would their investors think if they only knew. They don't even know tenants rights laws. And if you have mold in your home, the inspector says it's just mildew. But once the town gets involved they tell you you will lose your voucher if the landlord can't fix the MOLD! They don't even inspect what they are supposed to. And when the town gets involved they want to blame you because they don't want to look to be at fault. Dealing with supervisor Mildred and case worker Rita. They hang up and yell at you and tell you. There nothing to talk about. Very unprofessional! 1 thing I advise EVERYONE! Geet PROOF OF WHAT THEY SAY TO YOU! Keep EVERYTHING THEY SEND YOU! I cannot blame everyone at cdcli for the mistakes of a few. They are responsible for their own actions! THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT! I TRIED AMD THEY SAY THERE'S NOONE ELSE TO GO TO. SO HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT?? REALLY?? UNLESS I GO ABOVE THEIR HEADS! TO SOMEONE HIGHER

5 stars because I know they do good works. But when I had a problem I asked for her supervisor 3 times and she would not provide . However that is one employee and sooner or later they will get her #.

Horrible experience working with these people! They really don’t want to help anyone. The communication is extremely poor all across the board. Everyone is blaming someone else or pointing the finger elsewhere. According to the loan officer it’s been a nightmare dealing with her coworkers. No one takes responsibility for the lack of communication! Working with Michael DiMarcantonioAssistant Vice President Home Improvement & Optimization made matters worse, he tries to manipulate you into doing projects that are not deemed unsafe, so his contractor friends can get a piece of the pie. The entire process I did all I was asked of and at the end I received nothing! I’m very disappointed in Cdcli and will be contacting the better business bureau.

Omg, These are the most unprofessional group of people I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with. Joan S the housing specialist is very ineffective and her Supervisor even more. Now granted I have only spoke to Joan S and corresponded with the Connie Bruno the Vice President who was somewhat helpful with responding to me immediately however I haven’t heard back from her in how we were going to move forward with my concerns. I have to say I have never experienced anything like this. Lastly, I do know a lady who has had a positive experience and has good things to say about the housing specialist who is assigned to her however Joan S seems like she has her head in the clouds. If this is a tactic to discourage folk or just simply the culture of this organization I feel sorry for you. You must do better.
