Elanor was an amazing stylist who did my balayage today, very professional and I got the exact result I was looking for even with my thick, dark colored long hair. Definitely will come back.

My wife’s haircut was shorter than she asked for and her roots were not fully covered in color. She’s been going there for long now and she’s disappointed considering she was a loyal customer. I go to another salon so she will be joining me now and not be returning.

My 14yo child and I started going here a few months ago and get very simple cuts usually. Today was no exception. However, this review isn't about our service, which was excellent. I would like to commend the staff regarding the service I saw with other patrons. They are all very friendly. The colors and cuts they give are fabulous! I've been impressed each time we've gone. Maybe I'll be more adventurous next time I go. Lol.

Got blonde money pieces done and they completely fried off my bangs. She took too many appointments all at the same time, not paying attention to how long she left the product on me for.... Causing bad breakage and damage to my hair.

Anthony and his staff are gifted. However they do not read minds. Many clients come in with inspirational pictures and demands. I've seen it. Trust them! I've been to high end salons and Lemontree surpasses them. I always thought high price, high style equaled quality. No way great boss, great team and awesome work... equals quality! Many times you walk in and it looks hectic, it's not. Anthony knows what's going on everywhere, all the time. It's a well oiled machine! He knows his business, his staff loves him and I leave excited about my hair! I also leave laughing because he is hilarious. It's a good time. People out there if you had a bad experience, Anthony will try to make amends in a calm , professional manner. I've read a few reviews and you might just have been having a bad day. Lemontree is worth every $ you spend. I could go on. Oh yeah one last thing : he always remembers you and what service he had provided. I know there are databases. It looks like he might do his homework in the morning so he's ready for you. Well he's not a mind reader. That's something I'd like to see him do! Lol! Kudos to Lemontree Centereach!

I just went to Lemon tree to buy a gift card for a family member. I told the gentleman I was here the night before to buy the gift card after I finished my day at work. it was 6:15. he told me the store closes at five on Wednesdays. I said the sign says 8:00. He said you should have looked online. ( a payin customer was laughing, and he was smirking at her laugh at me. I told him I just worked all day. I don't have time for that. Just figured I'd stop in that they should have a sign on the door that says it closes at five not that they're open till eight that's besides the point so I bought the gift card, he asked me if I wanted a receipt. I said, of course this way I know the gift card works, and I have a receipt to prove it. He looked at me and smirk again as the woman behind me said I usually check my bank account. I said I paid in cash again at me and just said, have a good day, my husband gets his haircut here and I will tell him I am not happy with the service I got . I work in customer service and I would never speak to my customers like that.

I should have expected such an experience from a corporate chain salon focused on profits. My fiancée (not my friend) booked keratin treatments for both of us, discussing the $99 coupon on the phone. That would qualify as "presenting" the coupon in my mind, but I guess not.
We both found the whole experience questionable. I've had my hair done before by barbers and hairdressers alike, and I've never had such a rushed experience. Getting my hair washed is my favorite part, but not this time due to how rough it seemed. Then, throughout the actual blow drying and keratin treatment, while combing/brushing my hair, it felt like my hair was literally being yanked out of my head with every. Single. Stroke. Like my head is being pulled along every time. I looked around to see if it was just me...but shockingly, it seems that's how everyone does it there. I've never seen nor heard of anything like this. Is that how they're told to? Gotta be fast to make that $$$.
Even though my hair got finished first, I thought to myself "what if I just get up and leave?"
My fiancée, while still in the chair, texts me a similar experience. Constantly yanking on her hair with the brush and comb, I can literally see her get jerked along. One of her earrings LITERALLY got pulled out of her ear. Onto the floor it went, as if it were an acorn from a tree. Not to mention the top of her ear being burned by the flat iron. Texting me "I'm afraid she's going to burn me." Ridiculous.
When we're treated like objects rather than people, I'm not gonna tip. Once my payment was processed, I heard the employee, in front of me, audibly say "all that work for nothing, huh?". Employees should be paid a living wage, for starters. Regardless, I'd imagine customers can't always tip. I'd rather they be happy and loyal and tip when they can, I don't know their situation. But they opted for the route of audible/visible spite.
Lo and behold, we noticed that we got charged $150 each after, and when we went back to rectify this, they basically tried to pull a "technicality" on us because "it says on the website' that we had to "present the coupon before" the work is done. Wasn't that what we did when we booked the appointment? I see nowhere on the website that a physical printed coupon or a digital image displayed on the phone in my hand needed to be presented to someone's face, rather than in a conversation booking the appointment literally because of the price advertised. Strange because before he started quoting the technicality and talking about grocery store coupons, I overheard him telling the other hairdresser that processing a refund was basically too complicated.
I suppose $99 for keratin is too low to be good, or too good to be true, and we got what we paid for, or should I say overpaid for. Hopefully the corporate overlord/owner cares enough about a customer's experience to take a look at how roughly they're handling people's scalps and give us a full refund for what turned out to be cruel, unusual, and perhaps outright bizarre. The customer isn't always right, but the customer is always a human being.
We won't be coming back here.
Edit:
We did not just come in and book an appointment. So you clearly were not present the entire time or did not understand what occurred. The appointment was booked in advance, over the phone, with a specific discussion about the $99 special indicated on the coupon.
We didn't say we "saw a special online", we were trying to point out that the appointment was specifically booked because of that very coupon. And yes, I heard what I heard, you yourself were not there, as it was said before we'd first left. I take issue with falling back on what is at best a mere technicality for what, fifty dollars? I d
