Camp Alvernia is a summer camp for children ages 3–14 on a beautiful 15-acre waterfront property in Centerport. We focus on youth development, 21st-century skills, and social-emotional learning, giving campers meaningful experiences that help them grow. Owned by the Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn, we encourage respect for self, others, and the environment. Our property also serves as a peaceful retreat center for schools and nonprofits.

My kids have gone to Camp Alvernia for several summers now. They just absolutely love it! There is so much to do, amazing and kind counselors and just a real family atmosphere. If you’re thinking about it and are hesitating, don’t. Your kids will love it!!
