This particular Maplefield’s Travel Center is superb!
The facilities are clean and well maintained.
The coffee is fresh and wonderful tasting.
The grill prepares awesome tasting food.
I plan on continuing to go to this place and recommend others to do so.

This fairly new truck plaza is a complete failure. Wide Loads and LOW BOY, DO NOT ENTER! Fuel cards continue to not work at the pump, OUT OF DIESEL, OUT OF ORDER and too cheap to hire cashiers, but self checkout registers don't work either. Limited parking and awful layout. Champlain needs a real truck stop very badly.

Stopped in early morning Sunday morning the service was great I picked up a gallon of water a sub and a salad which they were very good I will stop and get a sub and a salad again for sure a very tasty roast beef sub and a garden salad

Burgers are always not fully cooked and when you say something they talk to you like you're stupid. Just to add zi went there on Dec 2, 2024 at 11pm and the clerk was rude. Playing on his phone not even to lift his head and greet your customers. I think my wife and I will fuel my big truck and personal vehicles at another place. I'm done with your rude clerks.

The best burgers and hot subs. Always worth a pit stop. Their grill closes at 7 pm in the fall winter. Their burgers are better than most I've had in chain restaurants and diners. Best Italian meatball sub I've ever had with lots of sauce, juicy meat balls. Great cheese steaks. Only place I know to get fried mushrooms.

So our company has this travel center listed as a fuel stop before entering Canada.
Let me start by saying some major truck stops can learn a few things.
The first lesson would be to choose your staff wisely. Choose people who have great work ethics and put pride in their work.
The staff at Maplefield's Travel Center is awesome they are friendly, polite, and helpful.
The second lesson is cleanliness. This place has an amazing and comfortable trucker lounge with 4 showers, washers and dryers, TV section and tables.
And it is CLEAN!!!!!!! Now I will say that DRIVERS have the responsibility to help keep it this way. STOP throwing your urine bottles everywhere if you want something nice, then treat it with respect.
The deli is awesome. They serve breakfast lunch, etc. The salads and sandwiches are made fresh every day, and they serve pizza as well.
They have a complete coffee bar with a variety of specialty coffees and muffins and cakes.

Out of 5 stars, I give 1 star for the ample parking available. Another 1 star for the toilets. For the rest, everything is overpriced at this place, even the promotions don't give good deals. And the icing on the sundae, the most unpleasant experience as a consumer, the obligation to go to a self-service checkout. The horror! Please remove that!
