Nice guys who seem to have mechanical ability, but they lack attention to detail, and their pride in workmanship blinds them to being able to see or accept mistakes. If you have a bike that is special to you, find another place to take it, where they spend a little more time on the details and are open to two-way communication with the customer. I won't be back.I have a range of bikes. Three road, one CX, and one mountain. I ride around 5,000 miles a year. I brought in my favorite bike to true the rear wheel and replace the cassette. They called to tell me it was ready, and I was a little surprised to hear that they had opened the bottom bracket and greased the bearings, as well as replaced a brand new chain (that I told them was brand new when I took it in). Nonetheless, I trusted them, paid the bill, and felt happy to know my bike had been taken care of.Long story short, when they put the crank back on (a service I had not requested), they distributed the spacers incorrectly, causing it to require a front derailleur adjustment, after which the right crank arm tapped the front derailleur on each revolution of the crank.I took it back to them after the first ride, not knowing why there was a new tapping sound on each pedal stroke. They worked hard, but ultimately did not resolve it. I talked to others who said it sounded like spacers were missing. I brought it back after a couple more rides. They called back very quickly to say it was resolved. What a relief. When I asked them to show me that they truly had resolved the problem, they became very defensive, accused me of trying to make them teach me to work on bikes, and said they are not that kind of bike shop that teaches people so they can work on the bikes themselves. They were condescending, would not listen to my concerns about the crank and derailleur, and they told me I should be happy they weren't charging me (even though they had in fact charged me for this BB service which I had not requested).I ended up taking it elsewhere, where they found that the spacers were not forgotten, but they were not distributed correctly on the two sides of the crank, and they restored the bike to factory specs. I'm hopeful this saga is over now.All said, they are a prideful bunch at Julio's, and they have lots of admirers, but if you are particular about your bike working well, and you want to be able to have a two-way dialogue with your mechanic when something isn't working, do not use this shop.I included 2 stars because they did true the wheel, which I appreciate.

Hands down the best bike shop I have ever been to. Most importantly the staff, and owners Paolo, Will, Julian are not only avid riders but completely knowledgeable. They are friendly and accommodating. They are always there to help. Top that off with an espresso and it is a great experience from start to finish. First class all the way. Salute!

All other bike shops pale by comparison! I would give 10 stars if I could. Julio's is by far the best bike shop I have been to! Julio and his team take E N O R M O U S pride in giving you the best possible service and equipment to meet your wallet! I moved 100 miles north and there are plenty of bike shops, but I put my cycle in the car and drive to Chappaqua to Julio because I know that I can count on him 1000%. If you think I'm waxing eloquent on the superlatives, I am for good reason! Julio's is actually "The Best!"

I don't typically write reviews, but this experience has stuck with me. I have been going to Julio's Bicycles in Chappaqua for over 10 years. I have never had a complaint and the work has always been done well. However, this last visit was not as positive. I brought my son's bike in, which needed the brakes fixed. Paul explained to me where it was broken and that they needed to replace a part. This all was fine and expected. I also brought my brand new bike in, which I had assembled myself. I asked if he could look it over because they know me as a previous customer. He pointed out to me that when I assembled it, the back tire slightly off. He said he would fix it. I appreciated this offer very much, so I purchased a water bottle holder and hand grips for the new bike. I thought him offering to look it over was very generous. However, when I picked up both bikes I noticed on the receipt there was a charge for a $49 tuneup for my bike. I asked why my bike needed a tune up since it was brand new. What I didn't realize was that when he offered to fix it and I was under the impression that this would be a favor free of charge (which is why I wanted to make an accessory purchase that day), I would actually be charged labor. He explained to me that he didn't charge me the full tune up price when I further asked about why my brand new bike would need a tune up. At this point I was upset because this was something I could have fixed myself. He was polite and offered a refund, but he didn't seem to understand that it was not really about the money. I was more upset with the lack of communication about there being a charge, which was not made clear to me initially. Over the past few years they have been good , however this was a little shady. I also was bothered when I said I won't be coming back and he was fine with that, a customer over 10 years, really? It's fine, Ride in Pleasantville is closer has a variety of diff tune up prices and easier parking . Just Check your receipts before you leave. Good Luck !

I cannot say enough about the level of quality at Julio Bicycle. I brought in a bike that had been purchased from Julio Bicycle in 1999 and needed some TLC. Will was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, very welcoming, inviting and on-point with advice. Service is quick (just a few days turnaround) and my bike looks amazing and rides like new. I cannot wait to return to Julio Bicycle for more add-ons and accessories, just knowing that I will be greeted with a hearty handshake and a friendly smile!THANK YOU, Will, for jumpstarting me on a new venture and lifestyle!

Just picked up a Wahoo Kickr Bike from Julio Bicycles. Enjoyed the great customer service including detailed explanations of the features and general conversation on other items/bikes. I was surprised at the wide selection of bikes and components they had in stock. It appears this bike shop has overcome or somehow avoided the supply chain issues most other bike shops have experienced. Great bike shop!

These guys are pro’s!! I had a constant issue with dropped chains on my SRAM FD that I took to a handful of mechanics, but no one could figure out the problem, and I mean leaving my bike with them for days at a time. Brought it to Manny and he was able to resolve the issue within a couple hours ~ feels like a brand new bike after he put his magic touch. Paulo, Will, Manny are very welcoming and knowledgeable. They gained a loyal customer! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️‘s
