Honest, transparent, comprehensive & compassionate service -- Chatham Village Auto understands that all vehicles contain people. Their primary concern is protecting your safety on the road; understanding that for most of us, getting back there as quickly and efficiently as possible is tantamount.

Really bad to deal with and not not honest whatsoever was quoted $200 for some wiring work and then they tried to charge me $900 the next day when I went in to pick it up

I stopped in with a tire that kept losing air. They took me right in, patched the tire, charged me $10, and I was out of there! Efficient and polite people.

Apparently payment starts when “any car taken inside”. This is something no one told me after I called multiple times about any charges. They reassured me they would call me back, and did not, all while charging me. Upon speaking to them they said that my car was beyond repair and my catalytic converter and connected parts would not last through the season. have a Saab, upon taking it to a specialist in Pittsfield- recommended by Valyant in Chatham, a far better business- my car was repaired in a day, fairly cheap too, with reassurances that it is in fine shape. chatham village auto is a scam, I would never recommend their services and would advise anyone to go to Valyant instead. They lied to my face and charged me for it.

These folks never try to upsell me on anything and keep my vehicles in great shape. Trustworthy and reasonable. Two things that are hard to find in an automotive center!

Only needed a car inspection but they had me on their schedule and it took just under an hour as I was told. While I was waiting a special needs customer arrived to pick up his car. The care, patience, kindness and respect shown to him was excellent. Clearly a business that cares about their customers!

paid five hundred dollars to have a new front pipe (witch i supplied) modified on an older vehicle witch the the part was no longer available . the part i supplied was correct for the job . it just needed one side sectioned for fitment . he replaced one side with a used part and the system still leaks. he had assured me he had the equipment and the expertise to do a proper job before he started the job . when confronted with the poor job and used parts , where i had supplied new , i was told i was paying for whatever job he wanted to do and refused to do the repar properly . BEWARE !!Service: Exhaust

I had some issues at 7pm on a Friday evening as I was driving through Chatham and was too nervous to continue driving. I left my car overnight and Peter worked late on Saturday to help me. It was a risk to leave my car and keys at an unknown place but it worked out well. Thanks for the great service!Service: Oil change

I went to Pete for four years- he worked on both my cars and I referred him to several people. They were quick and did good work. But I found out the more you go there, they start to take advantage. Especially since he hired Jim to work the front desk.Last year I brought my car in bc I suspected the starter needed replacing. On top of them charging me $100 to tell me what I already knew, they said the car was undriveable. In the same breath Jim tried to sell me one of their Toyota Camrys. Duh, no. Now, 15k miles later, my car is still kickin'. That was the last time I went to Pete. Buyer beware.

Replaced two tires and asked to check brakes. A Jiffy Lube place had told me I needed repairs and tried to get me to dish out $1,000 when I went for an inspection. Car passed inspection but I was still concerned. They looked at my brakes and told me they were fine. Got me new tires, fixed my check engine light and clock radio. Happy to have a local place I can trust.
