I bought a Regency Gas (L24) Insert to convert my fireplace from wood to propane back in 2020 when this company was just starting out and I thought I could kick start their business. The owner was friendly but I became suspect when he had to bring in an install pro who had to drive 6 hours to get to my house in Columbia County. After he set the insert he told me I needed a plumber and electrician to complete the installation as he does not know or was not licensed to do it. I knew then I had made a mistake. I have had trouble with it ever since and it now sits not working. One time Nolan Plumbing sent someone out who cleaned it and got it working. I now need a part but have no one to call. I will go back to Nolan. I was getting ready to call Dr. Soot 'n Cinder but when I went to the website thinking they have now improved and might do service I was disappointed to see the poor reviews. I think I owe it to the public to post my situation. Beware. He is still a chimney sweeper in my book.

They are responsive and know what they are doing. Their chimney brick repair was on schedule, although costly. They have done chimney cleaning. I would employ them again.

Upsold us when they came, about doubling the price. Roof around the chimney developed a leak after that. Others in our circles have also also reported poor experience.

We were late in the season scheduling a Chimney inspection and cleaning after buying our house but they squeezed us in. Their technicians gave me some helpful advice as a first time home owner with a wood burner. We wanted some work done once the weather will accomodate and their office staff remembered and pre-empted us having to reach out to schedule. Incredible customer service, in a world where it seems to be non-existent now. Would highly recommend.

Had a HUGE WEIGHT lifted off my shoulders today thanks to Tony and Justin! They found someone else's BAD mistake, corrected it and repaired my chimney. Dr Soot'n Cinder gets an A+ for quality, timeliness, and courtesy! The office staff is great too!?

I have been using Dr Soot N Cinder Chimney Sweep team for the past 3 years. I'm always appreciative of their professionalism, and cleanliness. Highly, highly, highly recommend them. Their team in the office and on the grounds, all have the same considerations in mind for their customers. I only give reviews for valuable and needed services and excellence with work. 5 stars for Dr Soot N Cinder

Absolutely terrible experience, workers are sketchy and so unprofessional, they were either on their phone talking or texting, and did a piss poor job, would not recommend UNLESS you like throwing away your hard earned money
